Ice skating.
The great Marc Belasco?
That was something he never imagined he would do. But as he stood on the ice, watching her get onto the ice herself, there was no denying that it was actually reality.
"What are you waiting for? Let's go," the sound of her voice caused him to leave his thoughts. He took a step and suddenly wobbled. She skated towards him quickly and held onto him for support.
"What's this? You don't know how to skate?"
He cleared his throat out of embarrassment.
She smiled.
"This is going to be interesting then," she said, a smirk forming on her lips.
"How so?"
She didn't say anything as she skated circles around him, going close enough to him to force him to take several steps away from where he had entered the ice. And when he noticed what she was doing, he turned to look at the entrance to find that it was far away. He turned to look at her.
"You have no choice now but to skate with me," she said. His eyes narrowed at her as she stuck her tongue out teasingly.
"How mature of you."
The smile reappeared on her lips as she reached a gloved hand out to him. He looked at the pink glove as he shook his head.
"No thanks," he said as he turned around and attempted to return to the entrance to get off the ice.
"Not so fast," he heard her say just moments before she appeared in front of him and grabbed his hand. The moment that she did, he felt his heart racing.
"Skate with me, I don't bite."
He found himself unable to do anything but stare at her in awe as she started to skate, urging him to do the same as he subconsciously held onto her hand. His grip tightened when he wobbled once again.
"Just relax and follow my lead," she told him. And in that moment, her voice had never sounded so sweet to him.
He felt a small smile on his lips as he did what he was told.

Too soon, the day of the party arrived. And as he stood behind the full length mirror, fixing his tie which matched the color of her dress, he couldn't ignore the fast pace at which his heart was beating.
Calm down,
calm down,
he told himself multiple times.
But no matter how many times he reminded himself, he couldn't slow it down.
After fixing the tie, he picked up his watch and walked towards the kitchen, putting his watch on along the way. He picked up a mug with coffee which had cooled down and drank it. He placed the mug in the sink just as his phone vibrated on the dining table.
He walked towards it and unlocked it after seeing a message from her, replying to the message he had sent her an hour ago, asking if she was ready.
1405: I'll be ready in ten minutes so you can come now
A small smile appeared on his lips as he returned to his room and put on his suit jacket. He looked at his reflection and once he was satisfied with his appearance, he walked towards the door.
And ten minutes later, he had arrived at her house. He texted her that he was there and she replied that she would be out soon.
It took twenty minutes before he heard a knock on his window, causing him to look up from his phone.
And the moment his eyes registered her appearance, he froze. Even though he had already seen the dress, seeing her all dressed up for the party made her seem so much more beautiful and breathtaking.
"Are you going to open the door or do I have to come back another time?" he heard the muffled sound of her voice.
He unlocked the door and she sat down, buckling her seatbelt.
She looked at him and smiled shyly, asking,
"Do I look okay?"
You look more than okay; you're beautiful, his mind spoke the words he truly wanted to say.
But physically, he said,
"Yeah."
He cleared his throat as he turned on the car and changed the gear to drive, pulling away from the curb. And as they made their way to his parents' house, neither of them said a word.
But in his head, all he could think of was how beautiful she looked.
