Well, I was seeing red.751Please respect copyright.PENANAKhup4zfNSg

Kneeling in the dirt and panting heavily, I tried getting my bearings straight. Sweat and blood dripped from my brow, stinging slightly. My left arm hung uselessly near my chest, the ragged cut ensuring that there would be no way of moving it. My sword threatened to slip completely from my fingers, no more power left in me to grip it properly anymore.
I refused to lift my head at the slowly approaching footsteps, matched by a slow and sarcastic hand clap. "Well done Layla," A female voice, playfully mocking at me, like a fox to a trapped hare. "I never thought you would hold up for so long. Too bad all your efforts will be in vain."
Her boots stopped just in front of me, beckoning me to look up. I squinted against the glaring sun and tried shifting backwards slightly to lessen her advantage over me, but was rewarded with a feeble sway that almost sent my feet from under me. Trying to get my balance under control again on hurt legs already proved a challenge as I waited for her to continue. 751Please respect copyright.PENANAQKStaZC7Si
She chuckled, obviously enjoying my suffering, "You know I'm going to kill you." I tried lunging at her, but she stepped on my blade, pushing me back down. The slash running down my back punished me for my sudden movements, and I found myself recoiling, biting against the tears that were threatening.751Please respect copyright.PENANAGy2XUPdRWj
She crouched in front of me, lifting my chin so I was looking her at her. "Don't make this harder than it already is Layla, you knew this was coming." She smiled sweetly, and it almost made me sick to look at her.751Please respect copyright.PENANAjhCTnTQbLk
"I'm... Going to... Kill you." I managed to splutter, tasting the hatred fueled by the blood bite at each word.751Please respect copyright.PENANAqXLElI5TUt
She laughed, tapping my cheek in a mock slap. "You've always been a lively one, I think I might actually miss you." She stood up gracefully, pulling out a blade from her sleeve and began shining it before splattering it with more of my blood.751Please respect copyright.PENANAU8lj0Xy45k
"Why... Why are you... Doing this... Odette?" I was struggling to keep my emotions under control. My voice was thick and I was beginning to choke up. My hatred was quickly being replaced by fear now, denying my body of even more strength.751Please respect copyright.PENANAmtxc0dPXQa
Odette admired her work, holding the blade to the light and watching the sun play off of the surface before turning her attention to me again. "It's simple," She sighed heavily, as if she was already bored with her task at hand. "You betrayed us, and you know that is punishable by death." At that she kicked me hard on the chest, sending me sprawling backwards. Before I could try scramble back to my feet she was already on top of me, her blade pressing against my throat. "I'm going to enjoy killing you."751Please respect copyright.PENANAKgdH3VCBx0
While she wasted time taunting me, I found my hidden blade and pushed it between her ribs and punctured her heart, a technique she herself had taught me. Her eyes went wide in shock, but before she could could even scream her life left her. I rolled her limp body off of me and stood up on shaky legs, whimpering at every movement. I wiped my blade of the crimson dripping, relieved to have found strength from my hatred.751Please respect copyright.PENANALEWsLJgMFP
I spat at her lifeless body, "I never liked you anyway." And limped away.751Please respect copyright.PENANAZMZFyOSFA6
