Me and Trent both stood at the door, not saying anything. I was too busy staring at my new neighbor to even invite him in. I looked at him from head to toe. The first thing I noticed about him was that he was a couple inchs taller than me. I'm a pretty short person so everybody around me is tall. Trent, Darren, the only person I know who isn't so tall is Allen because we're both the same height. It gives me relief to know that i'm not the only person around who's short.
The next thing I noticed was his hair. It was black at the top and the rest was an unnatural bright red color. His hair reached his chin and sorta swept over one of his eyes, giving him that bang look. The next thing I notice is his eyes. They were blue of course that sparkled whenever the light hits it. It was sorta that seablue color. Then the last things I noticed were his clothes. He was wearing a vest that was open and you could see that he was wearing a black and white striped shirt under it. He was wearing black skinny jeans and black combat books. He had on black leather gloves with spiky bracelets around his wrist. If I didn't know any better, I would say that he looks sorta punky. I've only been living in Tokyo, Japan for just a couple months and I haven't seen a punky guy like this yet until now.
Darren continued to smile. "So...your names?"
I blinked my eyes, hearing his voice. His accent wasn't from around here. That means he's probably from America like me and Trent.
"Welcome to Japan. I'm Trent and this is Ren. We've been living here for a couple months but still pretty new to the city." Trent spoke up while I stood there, feeling awkward.
Darren nodded then looked at me. "Hey."
I quickly looked away. I started to feel myself blushing. Why am I getting like this in front of a stranger? This is too weird. It puts the strange in stranger. I eventually cleared my throat and looked at Darren, smiling back.
"H-hey...Hi...um..."
I heard Trent chuckling next to me. "Don't mind him."
I sighed.
"Anyways, if you want a tour of the city, me and Ren would be happy to show you around?" Trent suggested.
"Really? That would be great."
I couldn't believe it. How is Trent able to act so calm and coolly in front of Darren? Oh. That's right. Trent isn't into guys.
"How about we meet you downstairs?" Trent asked.
Darren nodded. "Sounds like a plan. See you then." He said then walked away.
I know I shouldn't but I couldn't help but inch my way out the door and peek around the door corner to watch Darren walk away. His walk was laid back and calm. Like he didn't care about the world. It was so awesome. Then, my eyes landed on his butt. His butt was pretty cute. I'm normally not the type to care about how cute someone's butt is because...well...it's just a butt but seeing Darren's...
"Hey." Trent planted his hand on my shoulder, making me jump.
I looked at him and narrowed my eyes.
"Hey. Careful! You almost scared me!" I felt myself shouting.
Trent smiled. "Sorry to interrupt your butt staring but we should get ready to head out." He noted then crossed his arms and raised one of his eyebrows.
"Besides...I thought you liked Allen?"
I felt myself taken back. I blinked my eyes, staring at Trent. "I...I never said that!" I shouted again, feeling my cheeks turning red.
Trent smirked then started to ruffle my natural red hair. "Sure. Hurry up and get ready." He said then walked away to his room.
I ran my fingers through my hair, watching Trent walk away then sighed. "Whatever..."

I didn't think I needed to change clothes so I kept on my usual blue and white striped shirt and brown pants. I slipped on my shoes and started to tie them up. While I was getting ready in my room, I was thinking about how much I wanted to get to know Darren. Like, if he's going to school and if so, where, what his favorite foods are, why he decided to live in Japan and so on. It's so crazy how one guy just steps into my life and all of a sudden, i'm tongue tied around him. Never again, though. Darren is just a friend/next door neighbor. Besides, he's probably not even...
I sighed as I ran my fingers through my semi-curly hair and grabbed my wallet and house keys and left my room. Me and Trent met each other in the living room and we both headed out. I stood outside the door, waiting for Trent to finish locking up the apartment then he turned to me and looked me from head to toe. I stared at Trent, confused when he looked right at me and smirked.
"What?" I asked.
"I'm surprised you didn't dress up."
I rolled my eyes and groaned. "We're just hanging out. Not going on a date. Besides, if it WERE a date, you would be an awkward third wheel." I pointed out.
Trent nodded. "True." He tossed the apartment keys up in the air and caught them in his hand.
"Let's go then."

"So, where are the best places to eat?" Darren asked as he was sitting next to me in the taxi cab.
Trent decided that it'll be best if we just grabbed a taxi since we'll be going to a lot of places and it'll just be a hassle if we took his car everywhere. I know Trent is a teaser but I really didn't want to be the awkward person in the middle with Darren sitting on my right and Trent sitting on my left. I was busy staring at the cab's floor while both Darren and Trent were looking out their windows.
"I think the best place to eat is Botchi Grill. They cook some of the best grilled food but if you're looking to settle down in a booth and eat other stuff that isn't meat, Azake Diner is the best place." Trent explained.
I decided that this will be the best time to talk to Darren and get to know him so I cleared my throat and began speaking.
"So...Darren...why did you decide to come to Japan?" I asked, looking at him.
Darren looked from the window and looked towards me.
"Hm? Oh. I came to do some sight seeing and take some pictures. I'm a professional photographer." He spoke.
My eyes widen. "R-really?"
Trent then leaned over. "Ren is studying to become a photographer here." He butted in.
Darren smiled. "Really? Awesome. You're going to school here?"
I nodded. "Both me and Trent go to a Film school just West here. He's studying to become a Film Director."
"That's awesome. I hope you both make it."
I smiled. Darren really is a nice guy. I couldn't believe I let his looks get the best of me. I'm not really looking to date right now anyways. Especially with my dream in front of me.
"Here it is. Botchi Grill. We can grab a bite to eat and go a little sight seeing?" Trent suggested.
"Sounds great." Darren said.
"Driver, can you drop us off here?"
"Oh! Sure! Sure! Here you are." He said as he pulled over to let us out. Me and Darren got out while Trent went ahead and paid the driver. Once he finished, he joined me and Darren on the sidewalk.
"Well, let's go in." Trent said then started to head inside the Grill. I smiled as I followed after him and Darren.
