She nodded, a smile on her face. "If you give me his full name I might be able to find his body and you can see him."
I shook my head. "He's going to be killed if I don't get back there!"
"I'm sorry, you can't go in after the age of four." And told me, noting something in her notepad. "His name please?"
"Well why not?!" I asked in complete and utter frustration. I had to get back there.
"Well you see, humans actually have very good memory, so good that after the age of four we can't erase it, and anyone whose gone in with out a memory wipe has gone completely mad." She said it all calmly, like it was no big deal. That made me SO angry.
"Send. Me. Back!" I yelled. I tried to leap out of bed but a pain in my stomach made me collapse back down.
The girl looked at me with concern. "Are you okay miss?"
I grunted. "It's Hannah."
She nodded, but I don't think she was really paying attention.
She pulled back my blanket and my Cotten clothing was drenched in blood around the stomach.
"We need a doctor in heat stat!" She shouted, carefully cutting away the portion of my shirt that was just to the right of my belly botton. A knife wound was still bleeding at an alarming amount. She grabbed a few clean rags, putting preasure on the wound.
I watched blurry eyed as doctors and nurses filed in, the girl giving them orders rapidly. One nurse took out one of the needles in my arm, sticking in another. Another nurse put a mask over my mouthe. I sucked in the oxygen it provided.
I could feel a different type of darkness surrounding me. It wasn't death. I knew that.
Then I realized something. Right before I was taken to the hospital in the virtual world, I hate been stabbed just next to my belly botton. Dying in the virtual world had actually done me physical harm. And if the virtual world could now hurt you... Josh was going to be killed.
For the second time, I was fighting darkness, I had to tell them, I had to get him out of there. But before I could, I slipped into unconsciousness.
