While Elijah sighed, a huff of what seemed to be a mocking laugh sounded from Lucifer. "It appears we didn't, fair One." he admitted, pointedly clearing his throat as he cast a side glance at the Dark Prince, "What a glory it is. to be the opposite of the universe's ugliest, most horrid creature. That should make me the most beautiful, and kindest creature...ah, aside from you, dear Ophelia."
"Careful there Lord of a thousand wishes, your pride is showing." Elijah shot back, getting a quiet giggle from his bound. Ophelia flicked away a small tear of laughter that grew as the two bickered. “Like I said, my Lord, my Prince. Opposites.” Ophelia was in the rough middle, her hair long and in waves of burnt wood, her bright and curious pastel lilac eyes twinkling with the many thoughts that zoomed through her head.
She was fair, and didn’t seem to tan at all under the harsh light of the Sun. In fact, she glowed with radiance instead, a radiance which could lighten anyone’s mood, even a grump like Lucifer. She was the shortest and obviously the youngest as she was just a human. The bonds imprinted on her wrists glowed a royal purple and a murky brown. It was as if the silver rusted over at first, but it quickly returned back to its regular colour.
“Are you proud, Luce?” Elijah smirked, a judging hand clasping around The Devil’s shoulder. There’s no running from now, Demon. You should just tell her. “I will not remove either bonds, Sweet Prince.” Elijah stood stunned with shock. “But..? How??” “You misread me when you bonded me, Dear Elijah,” she began, calmly, “Take another look at me, I am you and I am Lucifer. That is why you both had chosen me.” The purple aura flashed brighter, as if it were a neon sign in the darkest of nights.
Elijah cocked his head to the side, so what did that mean? “It means, she’s part of us Elijah. She can do stuff we can do too. “ Ophelia beamed, “Yes my Lord. Exactly as you say.” She nodded, and went on, “As an example, I can read your telepathic messages, Prince Elijah, and I can also neutralize The Attack of The Seven as I wish.”
A playful laugh vibrated through the young Prince’s throat, “Yes my Love, which is why you collapsed into a deep slumber when he cast a spell on you.” Even the Lord couldn’t help but snort at that comment, “As I wish. Prince.” Ophelia shot back fiercely, one of her eyes beginning to fizzle with a red tint without her knowledge.
”Wrath is a sin, my sweet girl.” Lucifer noted, watching intriguedly as the red dissolved back into those pale purple eyes he loved so much. "Fine, my Lord." She mumbled her defeat. "Luce.." Elijah whispered; watching his bond's curious gaze following his glowing amber eyes with her lavender irises. Lucifer's wine red eyes darted between him and their bond. Holding out his arm, he let out a sigh tensing the outstretched arm.
“Be swift about it, Elijah.” Lucifer spoke calmly, but the under-fear could be heard in his tone. The God nodded, tracing a light pattern into his wrist with a suddenly razor sharp fingernail; before striking down into the flesh, breaking away skin and allowing blood to bubble like acid to the surface. Pain shot through his entire body, intensifying wherever the Angel’s hands grazed, Lucifer hissed, trying not to re-coil his arm. He pushed the curly-haired God away, “Hands off Eli—!” he growled animalistically, his wrist starting to drip with blood. Ophelia felt a sharp tingle run through her veins as she clutched the bond mark between her and Lucifer. “My Lord—!” She jumped up but Elijah pushed her back down, “Sit, Princess, watch what is about to happen.” Blood soaked into the carpet below, staining the black to an even darker and crueler colour.
Soon, the blood stopped pouring and Lucifer sighed, “Finally. Now get your royal arse over here.” Elijah played a smirk, walking over to the fair Demon, extending his arm. “May this bound us or may this kill us both.” He recited before piercing his own wrist and forcing it down onto his opposite’s wrist, mixing the blood.
Lucifer stared at Elijah, focused, the taller’s eyes flamed with streaks of orange and yellow, golden specs scattering his irises as a new-found energy rocketed from his toes all the way up to his head, sending fizzles of tingles through his mind. The younger’s simmered a soft ocean blue–the type which never ends–, swirling with life and other blues: turquoises, pastels and even mint greens flowed relaxed together; his world suddenly felt more quiet, peaceful, away from all the overthinking he was used to. The human watched transfixed, she was shocked, she didn’t know celestial creatures could bond each other!
A spark of light burst like a bulb with too much energy between them and both boys pulled away, breathing heavily, eyes back to their regular shades and minds blissfully unfocused. “We’re..” they both started, patting down their bodies as if they were dreaming. “..alive!” For the first time in forever (THERE'LL BE MUSIC! THERE'LL BE SOUNDSSSS) they smiled at each other sincerely, hearts pounding together as they gazed at their wrists and sure enough; there were the marks of their respective bounds.
