I feel like this is really random, what with a complete fantasy world over reality, but it gets my point across. The United States 'says' they support the Hong Kong protests, but we do nothing more. We can't do anything more, apparently. The people of Hong Kong no longer only want to choose their government, but they have to. It's no longer a choice; they can't back down. They're practically fighting for their lives. People with a cause fight stronger than those who fight just because it's their job. With a cause, one is determined to do what they need to do. And like-minded people help keep a revolution, protest, or rebellion going on. They work as one, and finishing off everyone but one person isn't enough, because they all have the same intentions and willpower.796Please respect copyright.PENANArWqGZCmJ0k
So, here is my entry:796Please respect copyright.PENANAZ8PF1jBNF2
As I, Sandalphon of the Sidar spirits’ faction, watch over these mortals and angels fighting each other in this Age of Modernism, I cannot help but ponder. I hear their thoughts, and I have concluded that the Sielytes are innocent and the Bannor and Amurites are evil. One such example is here, in this Grigori mortal’s last moments (sadly, to what I believe, fooled by Cassiel in his dying moments):796Please respect copyright.PENANAIYvaDi6F99
“Vile Bannor,” the victim cursed, “Had the Grigori and our fallen angel, Cassiel, been strong enough, with the support of the great Sidar, we and the intellectual Sielytes would have eradicated your crusaders and usurped that high angel, Sabathiel!”796Please respect copyright.PENANA3sS9u7wI2R
“Speak not harshly of our lady!” a Bannor in scout’s bodyarmor warned, “You should be executed now, heathen! I have a painful gun here.”796Please respect copyright.PENANAV0EhxTPdPM
“Even that crazed Anni-Tai, the goddess of Peace and Insanity, hovering over the Phlaemark and Balseraph peoples, would have more sanity than your Sabathiel!” ‘Sabathiel’ was pronounced very painfully, as if the word stabbed the very mortal’s soul.796Please respect copyright.PENANA5pbisv6pQ2
“Friend,” I saw in the mortal’s mind that Cassiel himself, the fallen angel and leader of the wandering Grigori, was sending a message, “With every word, you add more pain to the lives of those around you. Speak to me when they finish you. I look forward to meeting you and your countrymen at last, for I have tried to aid you for centuries.” I could tell by the sound of his voice that he was deceptive. He says he was aiding for centuries, but for centuries he had been a coward. I know this personally.796Please respect copyright.PENANAMULlyni5vm
“Cassiel!” The mortal screamed the name before a gunshot was heard, teargas crowded the third-world country’s streets, and everyone screamed. Although afterwards they cried, they did not cry because of the tear gas.796Please respect copyright.PENANA7TQGR248Wu
Another instance of this is in this Sielyte’s last moments, where he internally prays to Serphares, the patron of True Peace and historic figure of the Peaceful Sephares Revolution against the Amurite Imperial Colonies. That is here:796Please respect copyright.PENANATybgX3cs4s
“As Aezrov the Rightful of the Reynolytes, during the siege of the underground city of Paningard, and Sephares the Enlightened of the Sielytes, during her Revolution, have told us, brothers and sisters, ‘We will endure hardships, we will feel regret, we will be betrayed, we will freeze in winters, but by Sucellus, we will not take defeat! We will give our respect, but by the gods we will not give our sword! We will fight for the fallen before this battle, during this battle, and after this battle! We will fight every battle, and we will emerge victorious every battle!’ So friends and family, let us fight this battle through the pepper spray of the modern era, and let us emerge victorious with democracy!” As if I hadn’t heard that one before from a Sielyte… but it works. Immensely.796Please respect copyright.PENANARztQSPtRSW
In his mind, he thought, Sephares the Enlightened, Kylorin the Hero, Dreyloph the Wolf, Aez the Sightless, Aezrov the Rightful, Raegron Sivilius, Banthrel the Immortal, Renin the Immortal, Renin the Gift, Ama the Insightful, please have mercy on my soul. I am old and I will die here by the bullets of these sinner’s guns and by the gas that leaks into my lungs now. I only regret not being younger during this time of revolution. Thank you for your prayers.796Please respect copyright.PENANA0Jsdn4T6ar
I found it interesting a mortal knew that many patrons. Religion can encourage revolutions and discourage the enforcers. But other motivations work just as well.796Please respect copyright.PENANAmbRooXESKo
The last event I have is here, of an Amurite grunt, the lowest soldier possible:796Please respect copyright.PENANAJAjcxxl5jF
Why am I even here? I signed up to serve my country, not kill hundreds of innocents in open daylight! The other soldiers seem to not mind, but do they really?! They must be insane if they find this normal! I have a family to protect, I have a country to be proud of, but what are the motivations of these other soldiers? They shoot their weapons casually, as if the gas is a simple bee sting; as if the bullets are the wind blowing through the air; as if the pepper spray is fog rolling from the mountains; as if the screams of agony and crying of desperation are the squeaks of rodents! No, no! I believe that these people call for democracy! I believe I should turn against my doomed country, the colonies in the rightful land of the ancient Sidalosians, their descendants the old Reynolytes and Sielons, and their descendants the modern Sielytes! This is their land! I rebel!796Please respect copyright.PENANAAdsg45JRE9
And he was silenced... but not forever. His thoughts linger in many of the grunts' minds. He was the spark, they the tinder.796Please respect copyright.PENANArUcS34ZiUR
Ah, but I’ve forgotten that you are of Earth and not of Erebus. Greetings and farewell, mortal, and go see the sun set on a glorious image: a city’s streets crowded with healthy, peaceful citizens (although bombarded with pepper spray and tear gas by the government’s police force) who call for self-government in a polite and orderly fashion. Go see it, for umbrellas are a beautiful sight.796Please respect copyright.PENANAPqpDl5Ppeh
