Hi.
I have this problem.
See, when I was little every time someone tried to hold me, I would always end up falling out somehow. My parents attributed this to the fact that I was very squirmy, and I can admit that I kind of was.641Please respect copyright.PENANAJzbtEXEiWh
But then weirder things started happening. I was always getting out of my crib at night, too, so my parents rigged up a sort of baby-proof super cage.
And I still got out.
Then, I went to the local playground and somehow fell off before going down a slide and broke my arm.
It wasn't till I got a little older that I realized my problem was much, much worse.
So it was a sunny day. The trees of the forest that my family lived in blocked out most of the light, but dappled green shadows were evidence of its good work. Me and my little sister, Avari, were taking a stroll down our favorite trail. She'd taken the mountain bike while I got stuck walking the dog, a little old mutt named Ofir who was somewhere between brown and orange. He was a nice little dog, but a lot slower than a mountain bike.
We had to move out in the middle of nowhere because my parents needed some time to figure out what the heck was wrong with me before I returned to normal society: I didn't mind, I liked it here. My sister liked it, too, so long as she got to use the bike.
Avari had just lapped me a third time when the forest grew quiet: The birds stopped chirping, the jays halting their incessant screeching noises. I tried to remain calm and keep walking, but Ofir refused and lifted his nose, and then laid back his ears and flattened himself against the ground and covered his face.
I tried to look around to see what it was, then tried to pull Ofir up. The wind began blowing through the trees, bringing the sound of thunder and the smell of rain. The sky far above was turning a deep brown color. What was happening? I knew it was only a little storm, but it didn't quite feel right.
My heart started to roll faster. I finally managed to get Ofir up but he put his tail between his legs and whimpered and wouldn't go any further.
I scanned the undergrowth around me to see what he was so afraid of. There was not a living creature in sight, not even my little sister.
There were dark crevasses where anything could by hiding. The trees around me seemed to grow higher. I could hear my heart beating louder than it should have.641Please respect copyright.PENANAToZQo78dvM
The whole world seemed to get swallowed up in a great, black hole
When I awoke, I found myself half-submerged in water. I could feel the staleness of the air around me, which meant I must have been inside some sort of cavern, but it was too dark for me to see anything. The least I held had somehow been severed, but it didn't seem like a normal cut.
I was freezing. Luckily the water was clean enough that it didn't make me too sick to drink it, because I was stuck in there for about 2 weeks before a very specialized search-and-rescue team was finally able to find me (with the help of Ofir's keen locating skills) and get me out of there.641Please respect copyright.PENANA9ltLMs7E4S
It took me a while to figure out exactly what had happened. But after I kept shivering and stuttering and trying to explain it to my parents, they both got that look. I was sure that they'd already been thinking it for a while, and this incidence only solidified the idea in their minds.
That's right: I have the problem of falling through solid objects.
Things were not going to be the same after that.
