Well well well... kidneys, witches and comic books huh?
I must say, each of these entries are definitely up to scratch! I'd buy a book of short stories with these included. I'm quite impressed! The friendly competition has brought together some top notch authors (yes, I used the A word).
Shnuffluv you took an everyday situation and brought down the house! No betrayal is worse then someone snapping hope and expectation into itty bitty pieces. I felt for your character, you allowed your readers into her head superbly without giving away the storyline. You captured the heart of betrayal and unleashed it in relatable, but brutal simplicity. At the end you had "fight song" by Rachel Platten playing the anthem for her. Well done. 324Please respect copyright.PENANA7xPHCJ1UTb
Bobby... kidneys? Your piece was like a cop show backstory. As usual you kept the reader unaware of the end game till the very, very end. You brought all these complicated issues into one format, and even solved some for your reader so we hit harder than we expected. I'm not sure who I barrack for in your piece- probably the son.
The Great Escaper don't think because you're third that means you're less greater than the other competitors! Seriously, the way you executed the language and setting of your story - not to mention how to managed to put a murder mystery novel into a short story is incredible! I enjoyed the little aspects that didn't add to the storyline, rather the characters. Human blood in the dishes is an interesting concept I hope never to be faced with! I have enjoyed your entries immensely throughout these competitions simply for the "out there" contexts within conflicting settings. 324Please respect copyright.PENANAoqaEKwaaGS

Monos you wrote your 2nd perspective very well - I know how hard it can be. I'm impressed. 324Please respect copyright.PENANAVcjycbsqaB
Jonathan, you tricked me with yours. I'm not often fooled, but you got me with your witch and knight. Clever story telling. 324Please respect copyright.PENANAQV9W1Ikcgb
~Sorry it took so long, there was a heatwave down under so I didn't want to overheat my computer in 5 minutes. Was it fun? I think I burnt off body weight through sheer sweating. 324Please respect copyright.PENANAnW1I2UdGSY
