astral-stone: astral stones are the astral plane variation of hex gems inabling the user to manipulate astral energy or energy not of the sphysical world such as dreams, spirits and even mental based powers supposdly anything that doesn't tie into the spirital plane. the few that are found are used to pull of feats of telekineses and as such is looked at as a omni hex stone since it seems that it could grant one manipulation over almost anything if granted the right sub type
how hex gems are used:
by now it is noted that hex gems will not work simple because you ask it to do something. there is a languge to making it do what one wants but because no one knows how to speak it they have to write it out. the languege is refered to as "rune". in the past one had to activate the effects by using blood but in the 100 years some have found a way to translate it so that they can activate it with a simple choosen phrase, of course that is to say one needs to write the rune's for that fraze
the rune's can be made 2 ways. the first way is to simply write the runes and place a hex-gem on it before activating it. the second way is to write the runes with the hex-gem either like its a piece of chalk of by transmuting it into a form more fit for writing like a liquid or a waxy substance using a elemo-stone.
all hex gems have the ability to transmute matter into any of the 4 phases of matter however in terms of element's a hex gem can only turn normal matter into elements of the hex gems type while hex gems can be transmuted into another hex gems sub-type assumeing they are the same type. that being unless one has a void-stone or cosmic stone in which they can transmute a hex gem into any other type of hex gem, excluding cosmic-stones and astral-stones
as powerful as a hex gem is there is a taboo about eating the stone it is possible for one to absorb the very essense of the stone becoming either the embmodiment or the mimicry of the hex gems subcatagory
or even worse there being a small chance that the body could die by being transmuted into the sub-catagory completely turning there body into a life size hex gem.
