Chapter 1
William Afton rolled up the plans for his new construction project.
This was going to be a new horizon for William and his career. A new place for the local children to run from their homes and escape into a world of joy.
Fredbear's Family Diner.
As William placed the papers in his bag, the mascot truck backed up into the loading dock. The men unloaded the mascots and stood them up on the stage. They were magnificent. The bright yellow fur and animal-like features were stunning, as William had designed them on his own. The bear and the rabbit fit perfectly.
William retrieved the springlock crank and wound them up. He peered inside as the robotic endoskeleton was compressed against the sides of the suit with each turn, giving way for a human actor to wear it.
The animatronic suits were the perfect combination of technology and manual work. These will do nicely, William told himself as he released the springlocks and the mechanisms fell back into place.
The two mascots were the final piece of the puzzle. He turned around and stood to gaze at his new restaurant. The tables with decorations, the windows with their gold-colored frames, the arcade machines, his two children lounging in the waiting area, and his wife, 7 months along with their next child. He closed up shop, gathered his family, and made his way home, for the grand opening was tomorrow.

In the morning, William and his son made their way into the diner and prepared the tables for the opening. All of the employees arrived about 30 minutes before the opening as many, many patrons were lined up outside.
As the kitchen workers cleaned and the head waiter prepared himself and the other waiters, William turned to his son.
"Make sure that you don't get too close to the mascots okay?", he warned, "They could move too quickly and hit you by mistake."
"Okay dad!", young Michael said hastily as he ran to the window to see all of the people.
Embarrassed, William shook his head, chuckled softly, and unlocked the doors.
All of the people poured into the waiting area and the head waiter started seating guests. Kid after kid ran up to the stage to see the glorious workmanship of the mascots.
The bear sported a purple bowtie, top hat with buttons, and a microphone. The rabbit only the bowtie. The two were the best of friends, singing together with tinny voices emanating from the speakers.
The children were mesmerized. Only the high stage walls kept them from trying to reach up and touch them. They all gathered up at the front, singing along and dancing to the music.
William watched the children with great interest as some went to the arcade machines. Others sat down and stuffed themselves with the food that the kitchen prepared. Even his own son fit right in, playing with some other boys.
Parents were also congratulating William, patting him on the back and telling him what a relief it was for their kids to finally enjoy themselves at a family restaurant. But one couple, in particular, stuck out.
"Damn Americans", William muttered as he guided them to a table, "Always asking too many questions." The husband tapped him on the shoulder. William quickly spun around.
"Yes?", William seethed. The man stood up and held out his hand.
He introduced himself, "I'm Henry, and I've been looking for a business partner over in the US." William shook his hand.
"Well, what kind of partner are you looking for exactly?", William questioned.
"I'm searching for someone to run an entertainment business with. And you seem to have hit the idea right on the nose with this diner," said Henry, "I'd like to make an offer to you."
William thought for a moment. This might be my opportunity, William thought to himself, I can earn more money while helping this man so that I can give my three kids a good future. But that means moving to the United States.
William turn back to Henry and explained, "Make your offer."
Henry smiled and said, "We can build a brand like this over in the US. Then we sell toys, make a tv show, and have multiple locations around the nation. What do you say?"
William considered it for a minute, "Give me time to prepare because my wife and I are expecting a third child. After he is one year old, we will move to the States to start our partnership."
"You have a deal," Henry said as he sat down. He wrote down his number on a piece of paper and handed it to William. William folded it and placed it in his pocket. Then the waiter came to take Henry and his wife's order, so William left them to their service. He had to go fit an employee in the bear anyway.

William arrived home from his long day of work.
He and his wife were lying in bed, when his wife told him, "Are you sure this business thing is a good idea?"
William comforted her, "It's gonna be good for the kids. Trust me."
His daughter, Elizabeth, suddenly leaped into their room.
"What's wrong Elizabeth?", Mrs. Afton asked her.
Elizabeth hopped onto the bed. "There's nothing wrong, Mother. I just wanted to ask Daddy something." William stroked Elizabeth's hair.
"What is it, sweetie?", William requested.
"Can you make a girl robot for me?"
William laughed softly, "Soon Elizabeth, soon."
Elizabeth jumped for joy and ran out of the room.
"She's gonna grow up so fast," Mrs. Afton said sadly.
William nodded and quickly fell asleep.406Please respect copyright.PENANAT7Sc3zuHAG
