Midnight

I drive my car through the city, wondering what happened to me

how did I end up here?

with no one I know, I am so full of fear

I don't know what I miss, but I know I won't be helped through this.

Staring out of the window

driving slow and silently

I wonder what happened to me.

I can't remember why in this life I've chosen to be alone

I wonder why I have left home

I've never ever wanted to end up on my own.

I want to find my inner child, but I'm not who I used to be

and we don't even look-a-like.

I'm lying on the grass, out of a highway

I'm thinking about who I am

but I have to escape, I feel like I can't go my own way

cause I feel like I broke down my car

and while I run and I cry I'm lighting up every star.

With the stars upon my head I know exactly where to go and when to turn

and they light fire upon me 'cause they do fucking burn.

I'm falling down and I wonder if I'll ever love again

and I light myself on fire 'cause I don't know who I am.
