In the dorm there were three sorority girls.
One of them was standing on a chair in the middle of the room. In her right hand was a cane. 'It seems we have an audience. I'm Martha Kremer'. Maddie smiled. 'Maddie. I'm new here. I hope to be part of the sorority'.
'Hit me with the cane'.
'Will it hurt?', Maddie asked her.
'Yes, but it will be exciting to feel it', Martha answered.
I grabbed the cane in my right hand, and hit the older teenage girl, who was sixteen.
'There, didn't hurt', Martha grinned.
Then she went off the chair, and another girl took her place.

'Some of the girls have attitude', Martha said.
'I know', I said.
'Some are acting like they're popularity rulers. Stuck up, and causing mayhem', Martha told me.
'Popularity isn't all there is to have', I sighed.
'True, besides I am a lesbian'.
'Oh, I see'.
'It's equal opportunity in America', Martha said.
'I'm not a lesbian', I said.
'That's fine. I knew that once you enjoyed the caning show'.
'On the chair'.
'Yes, it's part of the tradition at Delta Delta Delta sorority house'.
'I'd like to be your friend', I said.
Then she kissed me, and I enjoyed it.

There was whisperings in the hallway.
'I didn't think she liked the chair', Maisie Dorr said.
'It's for initiation rituals', Grace Melton said.
Then the bell rang, and it was time for class.355Please respect copyright.PENANAASyDXcDVSr

Mrs. Campbell, the sorority house English teacher, smiled at them.
She had long, black hair, blue eyes, and was dressed formally. 'Today, we have a new girl in the Sisterhood; all sisters shall welcome Maddie'. I watched her. I hated public speaking.
'I am glad to be part of the sorority house', I said.
I was voted in by the other girls during Rush Week.
I texted my Mom, and told her the great news.
She told me that she would bring her bags, books, and I-phone.
I smiled for the next hour.
