As I open my eyes I find myself in the middle of this deep forest. This isn’t an echoing silence but the sound of the rustling leaves, chirping of birds and the howl of a Jackal make a transition of silent voice. As I look up to the canopy of tall trees it forms different patterns on my face. Creeping deeper into the forest I see a gazelle, a male gazelle. It has high standing, branched horns. As I follow him I approach to the darkness. The cold, shivering environment of the darkness makes me stagger several times. But I end up in a vast green landscape as if the darkness has kept hidden the beauty of nature. I see the deer joining a group of animals. I am surprised to see the gathering of different species of animals in a group. Then I see a girl in the middle of the crowd, narrating a story. She is narrating the story of ‘Liz and the Blue Bird’, my all-time favorite animation, to a group of animals! I try to approach them to check whether it is just a fantasy or reality. But before I can reach them I find myself falling into a deep crater. Finally, I land on my bed. It is just a mere dream and nothing more than that. I keep on dreaming such fictional stories after watching something interesting.
I live alone, my parents should not be held irresponsible. They have business outside India. All the house courses like washing clothes, cleaning dishes, wiping floor and dusting corners of the houses are in my daily routine. My ancestors are of centuries ago, they have left us this quite-a-big house as a belonging. I am the only heir of this belonging to be born as a girl. All my ancestors including my father were men. But my parents are not willing to take up another trouble when one already exists.
Fish curry and rice are on my daily menu of the weekdays. I like to eat food with my best friend. Well, she cannot be called my neighbor because we stay in the same house but she not exactly lives inside the house. Her name is Blossom: It’s the abbreviation of ‘Cherry Blossom’. It’s hard, quite impossible to find Cherry Blossom plant in India but my tree is an exception. So, yes, she is my best friend. We eat together even though I water her before eating my food but it takes time to intake. We are childhood friends, always together and the one only friend I have. So, she is very precious to me. We talk for hours and she even answers me by rustling her leaves. She is the cutest tree I have ever seen.
Blossom is just a part of my life which is one of the most important part. But I also have other desires I want to fulfill. I work in a milk shop as a delivery girl. It pays me about rupees one hundred ($1.36) each day. Well, it’s quite a good amount for me. My parents are rich but I am very poor, well pretend to be so. They send me daily allowance from London and even pay for nanny whom I have thrown out three years ago. All those money are saved up in my private locker. Sometimes I use it for emergency purposes though. Others are paid directly to the institutions by my parents. The reason for storing all the money is nonetheless than having freedom. Of course, I am totally independent to do anything I like but I don’t want to transfer to London after high school. I want to be an animator, a Japanese animator. For this, I need quite a lot of money for buying equipment and renting a small house in Japan. Well, my dreams are big, but I want to stretch along with it.
