" Anna, get ready fast! You are late for school," I heard my mom shouting downstairs.
I got ready went downstairs, had breakfast with my parents, and went to school. It was the third period in school. Mr. Alex told us to take out our chemistry notes. I put my hand inside my bag to take out the book, hoping I had put it in this morning. Yup! There it was, my chemistry book. And along with it came out an envelope. I opened it, I saw a letter which read " Dear Anna,"
Ok. This is weird. Nobody has ever written a letter for me, at least not this big. The letter was about two pages.
It read,
" Dear Anna,
Hey. Hope you are doing fine. I know you but you don't know me. And I have no idea how to start this letter. Here it goes. I am your long-lost brother. I know it's shocking. I came to know it recently too. But just read everything I have to say, or written. So it turns out that our family was living in France, which is where I am currently living. They moved to New York eighteen years ago, just two years before you were born. Yup, I also know your birthday. I searched for you on google. You have won a lot of competitions over the years. Great job. Anyways, as I was saying, our family moved to New York eighteen years ago and they just left me in an orphanage, which I have no idea why. When I grew up, I only got to know my family's name. THE LIGHTWOODS. I never really thought of searching for them since they abandoned me. But when I searched, I found out that dad died and I have a sister. I really wanna ....................."
"Ms. Anna, are you even listening to the class," asked Mr. Alex.
I crumbled that letter and put it in my bag, completely shocked and not knowing what to do. I never thought my mom would do such a thing, abandoning her son. No, she wouldn't have done that. Is this letter even true? Maybe someone is pranking me.
I had so many thoughts going on, eventually, I passed out.
When I woke up, I heard my mom yelling downstairs asking me to get up since I'll be late for school.
OMG! Thank God, it was all a dream.
But what if I really had a long lost brother.....................................
