"Aiight, it's my turn then." Veriana took out her phone and turned on the flashlight.
"Oh you extra extra," Reggie said with a laugh.
She smiled in return.
Deep in the forest between two sleepy towns, there came to be a massive beast. It feeds off the innocent souls of the living and uses its power to terrify the dead. Only the souls of the wicked fully live to tell the tale.
What does it mean to fully live, you ask? It means that those who follow the path of night and happen to meet the beast, are the only ones who are fortunate enough to keep their souls. Those who are of pure heart, lose theirs and become husks of their former selves. Their eyes grow increasingly red as their souls ascend and the beast's power grows. You see, without your soul it is impossible to feel emotion, love, pain, or anything for that matter. They walk the earth as immortals and the possibility of going to heaven is gone forever.
If you ever happen to come into the crosshairs of the beast, you'll be fine. There's darkness in all of you.
