The first day was for the students to settle in, not activities took place. So after lunch, Mira decided to Explore the campus, "Jackie!, Wanna give me a tour". Both of them went into the forest together where there were various tree houses, "Those", Jackie said, "Are where most of the activities take place.", "What kind of activities", Mira inquired. "Dancing, therapy, yoga, art classes, music", Jackie replied. "Dancing", Mira said . "Yes, Dancing lifts mood, ease anxiety, build social bonds, and establishes discipline", Jackie said studying the younger girl after all Dancing was something she loved the most, "Maybe you can show off your skills", Jackie said, "Um, I think ill try art and yoga", Mira replied leaving Jackie a little startled. "Why?", Jackie asked, "What else is there in this camp", Mira said changing the subject completely hinting she didn't want to talk about it which Jackie understood completely.
Mira returned to the cottage later that afternoon and saw it occupied by three other girls her age who she had seen on the plane. She went to the cupboard to retrieve a few things from her side when she noticed her treasured black box missing, Her panic grew as she looked around for it, "Looking for this?", One of the girls asked making Mira whip around and in her hand was her silver camera. "You shouldn't keep such an expensive thing in your cupboard", the girl who she recognized as Kayla said. "Can I have it back", Mira said with a threatening voice, which made Kayla smirk. "Here", she said which made Mira snatch it back, "stop troubling her", another girl said," Forgive the little thief, she just likes to mess around, Im Kevenly, and this thieve is Kayla. The other bookworm hidden under her blanket is Maya", said Kevenly while smiling a warm and beautifully comforting smile which made Mira involuntary smile back, "Im Miracle", Mira replied. "who is Katy?", Kayla asked curiously. "Uh, no one important", Mira replied and kept the camera in the box, "Kay, we heading out, nice to met you Mira", Kevenly said pulling Kayla with her.
"Is Katy the short form for Catharine McDonnie", a small voice from one of the bunk beds asked Mira turned towards the voice and nodded at the little girl with glasses, The girl looked much more comfortable compared to when Mira saw her on the plane," Oh! WOW! I love her raps I mean I like your dancing to but she is just awesome, so are the others and ofcourse you but she is a real queen not saying you guys are less you guys are queens too, I should stop tslking", Maya rambled causing Mira to giggle," Im Maya, By the way", Maya said, "Im Miracle", Mira replied, "Miracle that's your real name it's beautiful", Maya said, "Thankyou", Mira said, "You can keep your camera here", Maya said pulling out one of the planks which made the floor towards the side of the cottage, reveling a little space where a small notebook was kept," That's my diary Maya said, "Kayla loves to read it so I keep it here", "What happens if it rains I cant imagine that the roof is sturdy', Mira asked, "Then we are toast", Maya giggled, "We can wrap it in a plastic bag Mira said, "We can take it and run then", Maya said, which made Mira giggle and place her camera in the little space. "You have a huge collection of books", Mira said looking at the pile of books on Maya's desk, "Oh ya, I do", Maya exclaimed she loved books and you could see it from her expression. "Are you", Maya started hesitatingly, "Gonna go back to United divas", Mira looked at the ground as her expression darkened, "I saw their latest vlog they don't look the same without you", Maya said kind of regretting bringing it up because of the look on Mira's face, "I think they are calling us", Mira said dashing out of the cottage and blinking back tears.
She sat at the huge tables during tea alone staring at her coffee while she started at it again and again, "Go on say it", She heard the calm voice of Kevenly, Mira looked up to see her 3 roomates sitting next to her she placed her coffee on the table and looked at them curiously, "Im sorry I shpopuldnt have brought it up", "It's okay", Mira said gently smiling at Maya, "She told us what happened", Kayla said from beside her, "Are you okay", Kayla asked genuinely concerned, "Yes im good", Mira said, "Gosh im such a fool I don't know what to bring up where even my brother-", Mira saw Maya hesitate for a moment and blink rapidly, "Even my brother told me that many times", Maya said while Kevenly rubbed her back, "It's okay we all make mistakes and you didn't mean any harm, it's just", Mira sughed, "I really don't want to talk about it", "It will take some time but you can always talk to us", Kevenly said making Mira smile. "There is a portable library that comes once a week, id you ever want to get your mind off things", Kayla said, "Ok", Mira replied. The four of them sat in silence appreciating each other's company.
Mira looked at Jackie who was a couple of tables away and saw her smile, Jackie was happy Mira found friends, especially, Kayla, Kevenly, and Maya, for some reasons unknown to Jackie she felt this dire need to look out for Mira she didn't know why her gut feeling told her something was going to be wrong and when it did Mira would need the help of the people close to her.
