Chapter Four
'I can't believe that Shelly', Chris said.
'Yeah, what a creep', Debbie said.
'He didn't know what happened two years' ago', Chris said.
'Can I leave to get food and groceries?', Vera asked Chris.
'Yeah, you can borrow the van', Chris answered.
'Thanks', Vera said.
'Can I come to?', Shelly asked.
'Fine, but no pranks...or you'll be sent packing', Vera warned.
He nodded, and went inside the van.

Chuck was in the restroom.
The door was shaking.
'Cut that shit out!', he yelled.
He pulled his flared trousers up, and opened the door.
No one was around.
'Chili, is that you?', he asked.
'Serves you right. Shelly will drive you mad with his pranks', Chili said. He washed his hands, and dried them.
Then he opened the door, where he kissed Chili.
They decided to cook dinner in the kitchen.

The cashier, Essie Pryce, 54, said: '$20'.
'Shelly, I need money', Vera said.
Shelly threw the wallet at her.
Three motorcycle riders appeared: Fox, a 22 year old African-American woman; Ali, 23, her boyfriend, who was also African-American; and Loco, 23, (the only white member of the gang).
Fox grabbed the wallet.
'Is that your boyfriend's rubber? Did your Momma teach you any manners? You got to say "Please"', she said.
'Can I please have the wallet?'.
'Can I please have the wallet, Ma'am'.'
'Can I please have the wallet, Ma'am'.
'That's nice; that's real nice', Fox said.
And have her the wallet to pay the cashier, while Shelly had an extra $15 to pay the motorcycle gang their beers, before they left in a hurry.406Please respect copyright.PENANAgnsHXrG3sa

Shelly drove Rick's van into Ali's motorcycle.
He grabbed his knuckle dusters and smashed the windows.
'Come back here you bastards! I'll get you', he said.
And he decided to get his own revenge.
***
Shelly waited.
He decided that the pranks were going to send him mad. Or worse. It was Ned's fault; it was his suggestion to joke around in the summer of 1976, when they met at school. Comedy and pranks were in the "in" thing. Ted was the same. Pranksters in Crystal Lake. Get the girls. Be happy. But the reality was it didn't happen this time; Ted had met a girl at the Blues Bar last Friday the 13th. And he was marrying her. End of story.
Shelly was thinking the same about Vera.
'Next time, I'll know what to do', he told her.

When they reached the camp, Rick was angry.
'What happened, man?', Chuck asked him.
'Just a run-in with a motorcycle gang', Shelly answered.
'My van. Look, Chris, when I came here it was because I thought we had a connection; I don't think your friends know what it means to be nice', Rick said.
'If something happens, we'll fix the van up', Chris said.
And Rick sighed, as they headed to Bert's Gas Station, where they got it repaired. It was an hour later before Rick drove back to Higgins Haven, but not before the repair bill was $85 for new windows.406Please respect copyright.PENANAPoqf4N60yK
