Derek's (pov)
As I woke up the next morning I was laying in bed thinking about how Lily has no one her age here. After thinking about it I think I will go down to the Neko shop and see if I can find can a neko her age. I finally decided it was time to get out of bed. I went into my closet to grab some clothes for today. I picked out some black skinny jeans, a v neck t shirt, and some black vans. After taking a quick shower I got dressed and headed down for breakfast with my pets.
I headed down stairs and found all my pets sitting at the dinning room table waiting on me. When I sat down the cook brought us all some bacon, eggs, toast, and pancakes. After we were all done eating I finally decided to speak to Lily about the plans for today.
"Lily sweetie come here for a minute, I need to talk to you about something important." I said She slowly walked over to me and stood in front of me.
"Ok sweetie. I noticed you don't have someone your age here, like Sasha and Jake do. So I decided to take you to the Neko Shop and find a Neko around you age. How does that sound?" I asked her
"Really? That sounds awesome. I have been rather lonely." she said softly
"Yes sweetie. Now run up stairs and get ready and then we will go." i told her
She quickly ran up the stairs to get ready. Which means I need to talk to Sasha and Jake since I will not be taking them out today.
" Sasha, Jake look I'm taking Lily out for a few hours so you two stay here and behave. Rose will be in charge while I'm gone. You two can do anything you want til I get back but do not leave the house. There is a game room up stairs. You guys can watch movies, or play video games." I said
They only nodded their heads and walked away. Just as they were going up stairs Lily was coming down holding onto her tail trying not to get overly excited. I took her hand and lead her to my escalade. I picked her up and strapped her into her car seat and then jogged around to get into the driver seat. It was only a twenty-minute drive to the Neko Shop. I turned on the radio and started humming along til we pulled up to the shop. I got out and went around to get Lily out and clip on her leash.
You see if a pet is found without a leash on then they can be taken away to wherever. I didn't need to lose Lily I care about her more than I should. As we walked into the shop all we heard was meowing. I walked over to the counter and asked for some help.
She asked " What are you looking for today?"
" Well I'm looking for a male neko around the age 8 to 10." I told her
She looked at me shocked and told me to follow her. We walked over to the age group I was looking for. She told me to take my time and just come to the counter when I picked one. I start to look around when I notice two nekos in once cage so I decided to ask about them.
"Excuse me miss?" i said
She walked back over to me and said " yes?"
" What is with these two in the same cage?" I asked
" These two are twins and we just can't seem to separate them" she said
I then walked away and started to look around some more. I came to the very last cage and still couldn't find a neko I liked that would suit Lily. I decided that I wasn't going to find one here so we left to go to a different shop. I put Lily back in her seat and strapped her in and then walked around to get into the driver seat. I headed down the road to the next shop when I looked into the rear view mirror and noticed Lily crying. As we pulled up at the next shop I turned around and asked " What's wrong sweetie?"
She sniffled and said "we didn't get me a new friend."
" Sweetie that's why we came to a different shop. We are going to go in here and have a look." i told her
I got out and walked around to get her out and clip her leash back on. We walked inside the shop and there was a man standing a the counter. He finally spoke up after several minutes of standing there and said "What can I help you with today?" I looked him up and down and said "I'm looking for a male neko around the age 8 to 10." He said "follow me" After following him over to the age appropriate section I started to look around. I noticed Lily wasn't right beside me anymore she was a few cages down still clipped to her leash looking inside a cage.
I slowly walked over to where she was standing and looked inside the cage. Inside was the cutest little neko I have ever seen. He was curled up in the corner of his cage trying to hide from us. He had greenish yellow eyes and has white ears and a white tail. He looked like he was about 4'2 and was ten years old. I opened the cage door and went to grab him when he hissed at me and tried to scratch me. I was starting to get irritated now so I reached in again and pulled him out by his fluffy tail. That definitely earned a scream from him. After I finally got him settled from his kicking and screaming, I walked over and grabbed a random collar and leash that would work for now. I put the collar around his neck and he immediately started to take if off so I slapped his hands away. I pulled him and Lily to the front counter so I could pay for him. The shop owner looked at me shocked and said...
"Are you sure you want that one? He's a pain in the ass and doesn't behave very well."
"No my other pet likes him and I got him for her so this is the one I want" I told the owner.
After paying for him we walked out of the shop and headed to the car. I picked Lily up and put her in her seat and strapped her in. She was still to tiny. Maybe I should call the Neko doctor to see if there was something wrong with her I thought to myself. I then picked up the newest pet and put him in the back seat and put his seat belt on. I finally noticed that he is rather small to, maybe I should put him in a booster seat. I finally climbed into the driver seat and we headed to the mall.
"So we are going to head to the mall to get you some new clothes and other things you will need later on pet." I said to him
He didn't answer me in any type of way he just sat there looking around. After about ten minutes of driving we pulled up at the mall. I got out and went around to get Lily out first and clipped on her leash then I walked back around and took out the new pet. I still don't know if he has a name maybe I should ask him. "Pet do you have a name?" He looked up at me and nodded and said " My name is Zade"
We walked into the mall with me holding their leashed tight so no one could grab my pets and run off with them. Zade was looking around at everything. He seemed to be very skittish. I walked him into a boys store and started picking out jeans, shirts, shorts, underwear, and some shoes. After paying for everything we went into a different store to find him a booster seat. He wont like it but to me he was far to small to be riding in the seat by himself.
After we found Zade a booster seat I finally decided it was time to leave the mall. After strapping in Lily, I walked around to put Zade in his booster seat when he started fighting me. I then got pissed and was fed up with his attitude so he will be receiving his first punishment when we get home. After the 30 minute drive back home I got Lily and Zade out and walked into the living room with them. I told James to holler for Sasha and Jake and after ten minutes of waiting they still haven't came down. I walked up the stairs and into the game room and almost passed out at what I seen.
