Everyone came together where they gathered before

Waiting for what will be told

No offense is against the law

Now the truth will be unfold.

The chief said " we found the box of the old lady

in the house of the possessed girl

How punishment will start now with no ' maybe ' now hit the bell.

From far the chief saw a hand raised

" Yes what do you have to say "

A woman said " maybe she didn't do it "

" I said no 'maybe, we caught her do you want her praised ?

There will be no mercy today

She will reap her sins bit by bit ".

Another said " let's give this a really good thought

She might be a pauper but I believe can't hurt

The box in her room was placed there

Just because she is destitute and no one would care ".

Someone uttered " her evils we've long knew

So this is definitely true "

The chief said " she is to us not known well

Today I'll punish and no more excuses to tell ,

Now take her to the cage where everyone will see

And give her the whip such will losers be."

Mary's bare skin was placed on the hot ground

The pain she felt of the angry whip as it sounds

In anguish she cried and their laughter she heard

A poor girl suffering yet still seen bad

A man said " please chief stop this punishment she face "

The chief replied " are you ready to take her place ? "

" No my chief am not "

" Then keep your vulnerable mouth shut ".

Mary was whipped until she fainted

But the heart of the people was filled with hatred

Her body was dragged and placed in a prison

How ill she was treated as if charged for treason.
