"Hey Rod," Rod looked up from his book to see Scarlet, his girlfriend giving him a puzzled look. "What're you reading?" She asked, walking around the chair he was sitting in and leaning against it. Rod blushed, pushing up his glasses. "It's a book about...uhm...military missiles." He replied, flipping to a page that showed a diagram of one such missile. "Woah, those missiles look kinda...big," She said with a smirk, lifting Rod's arms, so she could sit in his lap. Rod squirmed, blushing at the softness of his girlfriend's shapely thighs. "Why don't we go to the bedroom...and you can shoot your missile into my target..." Scarlet murmured, rocking her hips back and forth slightly, evoking a quiet moan from Rod. Suddenly, Scarlet's phone rang. "Wait a minute." Scarlet stood up, grabbed her phone out of her back pocket, answering it. "Oh hey, Bea!" Scarlet smiled, glancing back at Rod, who glanced down at his lap, and then back at her. She smirked again. "Give me a hot second Bea, my boy-toy wants me to warm his lap." She sauntered back over to Rod and plopped back onto his lap. "Alright, so what's up?" Scarlet asked, nodding. "Rod and I aren't busy, so we can hang out," She paused and Rod nodded, prompting her to continue. "But, you might want to give us a few minutes... Yeah, 1:30 sounds good... See you then." Scarlet hung up and resumed rocking her hips. "So...Bea and Dandelion invited us to a beach party at Almond and Cadet's," She explained, referring to Almond and Cadet Blue, two crayons that lived by the water, and were close friends of Scarlet's, particularly Almond, who ran a small clothing boutique that Scarlet shopped at. "And what did you say?" Rod asked, resting a hand on Scarlet's bosom, smiling at her blush. "I said we'd be there, but that we'd need a few minutes," She replied, rocking her hips against him. "Y'know, to get dressed, and freshen up," Rod nodded. "Well, let's go to it." He replied as Scarlet stood up. "I'm going to take a shower, and get dressed," She kissed him. "See you later."
Rod had resumed reading the book about military weapons, when Scarlet, fresh from the shower and barely wrapped in a towel, entered. "You're still reading that book?" She asked with a huff, and Rod nodded. She crossed her arms and sighed. "You're boring." She commented, dropping the towel onto the floor. "Oops." Rod covered his eyes, blushing. "Scarlet! Cover up!" He scolded her good-naturedly, and she rolled her eyes. "Don't be like that Gold," She said with a giggle. "You've seen me exposed before. This isn't the first time." Scarlet ambled over to the couch, where a stylish pale gray one-piece sat. Rod watched her as she put on the bathing suit. Scarlet smirked. "Like what you see?" She laughed. "You can't have it. This," She placed a hand on her chest. "Is for my boyfriend, Goldenrod." Rod rolled his eyes. "Scarlet, I am your boyfriend." Scarlet nodded. "It was a joke, Four-eyes." She replied, and Rod grinned. "Get your swim trunks on, we're going to a beach party!"
"Hi, Scarlet! How're you enjoying the party?" Scarlet turned to see Cadet, Almond's girlfriend, and Scarlet's childhood friend. She was shorter than Scarlet and very slender, with a bouncy personality, and an angular, curveless body. Despite this, Cadet and her boyfriend, Almond was a perfect match for each other. For the beach party, Cadet wore a stylish bikini that showed off her angles and her long legs, plus a visor for the sun. Scarlet smiled at her. "The party's great, Cadet," Scarlet said with a smile. "You and Almond really outdid yourselves this time." Cadet smiled at her compliment. "Speaking of Almond, I bet he's at the shoreline. Probably fishing, I'll go check on him." Cadet walked off. Scarlet went off to find Bea, Dandelion, and Rod.
"Did you enjoy the beach party?" Scarlet looked up from her magazine, giving Rod a small smile. "Yeah, Cadet and I talked a bit." Rod grinned, sitting at the foot of the bed. "What're you looking at?" He asked, in a joking tone. Scarlet looked at him blankly. "Winter attire." She said bluntly, pointing to her closet, a decent-sized pile of too-small clothes sat. "My winter stuff's too small, so I'm gonna give it to Carmine," She explained, referring to Carmine, their short neighbor. "She might like this stuff." Rod grinned and kissed her. "Well, you get on with that," He started, watching as Scarlet circled things she liked with a marker. "I'll start bagging these clothes."
