"Cardamon!" I look up from inspecting the fallen scales on the ground. Chicory was walking up to me, holding up a tattered and bloodied cloak. He hands it to me.
"I found it by some other things," He explains, running back to the spot where he found the cloak. "Bergamot must've shed it when he... changed." He continues quietly, looking at the ground. There were other items on the ground, a blood-stained dagger, another cloak, scrolls that were torn to pieces. I frown, following the large claw prints. They lead deeper into the forest. 414Please respect copyright.PENANAEUNiYGQmlU
"Come on," I follow the path, and the others follow me. "Maybe this path will lead us to Bergamot."

The path leads us to a cave. Bergamot wasn't there. Instead, a small brown dragon was sitting in the cave. When she saw us approach, she arched her back, snarling.
"Go away!" She said with a hiss, stamping the ground with small claws. "This is my cave!"
"We don't want your cave," Chicory said, walking up to the wolf-sized dragon. "We're looking for another dragon." The dragon gave Chicory a suspicious look, and Chicory sighed, taking his knapsack off of his back, and rummaging through it. The dragon watched, hungrily, as Chicory withdrew a loaf of bread from the knapsack. He tore a piece off, handing it to her. The dragon took the piece of bread, devouring it hungrily. 414Please respect copyright.PENANAFm9uJoWb82
"So, did you see another dragon pass by here lately?" I ask, and the dragon gave a nod.
"Yeah, I saw another dragon," She replies, reaching for the loaf of bread with her claws, and Chicory gave her the loaf, which she tore into. "He was in this cave before me." She said, between mouthfuls of bread. "He had been sleeping when I stumbled upon the cave." She looks at Chicory pleadingly, and he hands her another loaf of bread.
"What did this dragon look like?" I ask, and the dragon looks up at me with big green eyes.
"He had green scales," She said. "And when he opened his eyes, they were yellow." The dragon gave Chicory a toothy smile.
"I'm Nutmeg, by the way." I nod.
"Well Nutmeg, it was nice to meet you," I start to walk away, Chicory at my heels. Nutmeg scrambles after us. 414Please respect copyright.PENANAsyK6BhCfAU
"Wait for me!" Nutmeg hops on Chicory's shoulder. "I'm coming too!" She announces, flapping her small wings.
