Martin Blanchard is a man who grieves for the loss of his wife, Anne Blanchard, who was murdered by a killer. As he attempts to move on with his life, he meets Jessica Harrison, whose own personal life is full of sorrow after the death of her first boyfriend, Harry James. 

But, as their lives connect, the killer strikes New Yorkers, as the crime rate soars in the city that never sleeps.
