“Bonjour, Miss Sandiego. It seems you’ve been caught.” Chase Devineaux cleared his throat. “Miss Sandiego, I eat superthieves like you for breakfast. You will go very well with my baguettes and brie.” He banged his head against the wall.
“Must you really rehearse for Carmen’s capture?” Julia Argent glanced up from the computer she was sitting in front of.
“Ugh. Agent Argent, what did Chief say about this case?”
“She said that Miss Sandiego was recently seen boarding a private plane in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil bound for Reykjavík, Iceland,” the petite woman replied.
“And that is why we are on our own private plane. So I can finally capture the Crimson Ghost!”
“Really, Agent Devineaux, I don’t believe that le Femme Rouge is working for V.I.L.E. I have told you and Chief before you. I believe Carmen Sandiego is a thief who only steals from other thieves. She has always returned what she, or even V.I.L.E. operatives have stolen. Chief thought this hypothesis had merit, so that is why I’m running point on this particular mission.” Julia adjusted her glasses. “So please follow my orders and sit down.”
Chase frowned and flopped down in the nearest chair. “Miss Argent, you relish this role too much.”
“Apologies. Perhaps I just like giving you orders instead of the other way around.” She smiled. “We are about to land. Please try to stay seated and read the mission briefing."173Please respect copyright.PENANAxRewwSoHv3
