Chris led Tristin down the dark hallways, occasionally a small silver bug covered in sharp spines would slither bay, but for the most part, ignored them. "So, what's so important about this library anyways?" Chris asked
"What is the importance? The importance he asks! The importance is that these libraries contain many books that hold countless secrets to the past. not only buildings but the very constructs that protect our villages, the magic used in forging weapons and tools from nothing! the magic used to hold so many items of interest in one's pockets! they contain the secrets of how to build things greater than possibly imaginable. infinitely complex machines able to defeat a whole army, even simple ones that hide in the walls of our homes! Don't you see? So much knowledge!" Chris rolled his eyes and smiled sarcastically.
"you are the only one I know who gets this excited about books Tristin." He said still holding the lantern above his head, illuminating the hall with a soft orange glow. soon they came to an opening and the duo could see they were on the second story of a large room. above them, chains held infinitely burning torches, and below them, the same torches illuminated tall bookshelves full of dusty tomes, guides, dictionaries, and other such works. Tristin looked as if he were going to burst, he took a deep breath and took a single book from a nearby shelf. Chris glanced over and glimpsed the title. "The Mobeastiary" and the face of the accursed creeper etched into the leather cover.
"Most fascinating. Christian, look, this book, 'The Mobeastiary' details every mob, beast, and creature to walk this world, and even those who walk the depths of hell and the world of the end!"
"Real cool tristin, look, I'm going to go see whats in that door down there, have fun!" tristin grunted unattentively, still reading the book. Chris entered the door way and saw a large iron golem, dorment and covered in greenary. Chris looked about the room and saw a large button on the wall, he pressed it out of curiosity and the machine whirred to life. a deep groaning sounded as the millennia old joints moved once more. it turned and looked at Chris, it's glowing red eyes casting an eerie glow on it's surroundings. Chris swallowed his fear and stuttered a few words out, if this thing was what he thought it was, it could help. "end, gateway." the machine stopped and whirred intensively for a moment. "End portal, follow the compendium construct to your destination." a voice said, it was a man's voice, obviously recorded, although he knew not how.
