A troubled veteran attempts to forget the past by volunteering at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum, but it proves difficult when he's close to the plane that changed his life forever—the Corsair.

Retired Navy pilot William Beckington never planned to move on after The Incident and has lived with the guilt for seventy years. After failed attempts with PTSD counselors, his daughter recommends that he begin volunteering on the aircraft carrier CV-10 in Charleston, South Carolina. Reluctantly, Bill agrees, but his decision proves difficult when he stumbles back into the world of Corsairs, the plane he'd rather forget.
Seeing that The Incident still haunts him, Bill's new friends attempt to help him remember his long-lost joy; he attends Bull Dog Tours, learns the stories of other veterans, and strangely finds himself near the Corsair more than he would like.
While nothing will free his mind from the traumatizing memory of accidentally shooting his friend down, Bill must find a way to push past his grief and guilt to live the life he is meant to live—and rekindle Ted's legacy before he succumbs.

Everyone has a story to tell, made from the moments in the lives we share. Consequently, every person has their own perspective, their own subjective experiences, and thereby, their own subjective realities. Even if the exact same story is told by two people, the details from one will differ in the other.
Reed and Lumina share their lives together, but each of them came from different backgrounds; each of them went through their own unique experiences. Reed is a human being like everyone else on Earth. Lumina is an Altiri, like every one in Genosis. Both are aliens to their own world, and both have seen their own source of immense darkness in their time.
The other side of the same story might sound similar at a quick glance, but in the depths of every personal reality, very little is ever the same. Welcome to the far side of the universe, in a safe corner of the world you've probably heard nothing about. Welcome ~ to Genosis. Welcome ~ to The Other Side.

"The tale of darkness, but also, of the brightness that lies beyond,
The tale of misjudgments, but also of amendments,
The tale of cruelty, but also of revolution,
The tale of eternal sufferings, but also of assurance,
The tale of derangement, but also of modification,
The tale of destruction, but also of construction,
The tale of eternal deterioration, but also of never ending improvement,
The tale of random decisions, but also of directed hardwork,
The tale of hierarchy, but also of true equality,
Welcome, to this tale of humanity's relationships,
Welcome, to the grand tale, of THE ANTONYM OF FRIENDSHIP."

If only they knew how loud my thoughts were; how I can barely fall asleep at night because my mind is racing at a mile a minute.
See, that's the thing about not being able to talk and not being able to relieve some of the communicative pressure building inside of your head. It piles up after a while, and all of those unspoken thoughts fester until they explode in a different way.
Headaches render me to my bed all day and my hand cramps from trying to write down what I'm thinking so people don't get bored and leave before I can form a sentence.
But for all of the difficulties, I may face in my silent days, it doesn't affect my story or me.
