Ok this is Comrade, new judge, little nervous, not really, best idea, got it? Here's the subject, something has invaded your country/continent/world. This foe could have already enslaved you, it could be in the mist of battle, I don't know, you figure it out.

Now I bet the first thought in your head could be, "top warrior, ultimate power, badass." But maybe it doesn't have to be like that, the character could be powerless, he could be afraid, or he could have no emotion. Now without further a do, let the battle begin!

We all love a bit of controversy in the media, a wife betraying her husband for another man... juicy information magazines thrive off. Lets not forget brother rivalry (Scar how could you?!)

Write me a piece with an unexpected betrayal - any word limit because I'm feeling nice. But use your words carefully and creatively. Will it be a tragedy? A comedy?

We live in an age where offending is wrong. It is, certainly, but in my opinion so is such censorship.

We believe what we believe. That's a fact of life, and public opinion or what is generally considered "correct" should not dictate  such a thing. We shouldn't have to feel terrified of expressing opinions. They are, after all, what makes us human, and in my opinion, anyone who openly goes against the norm with such views (while still being respectful) is brave, far braver than those who conform.

This challenge is focused on one thing: expression of opinions, especially on controversial subjects. This is where writers can say something that people may not agree with for one reason or another. I want to encourage bravery and encourage voices to be heard.

Judging on:

- General grammar.

- Eloquence and powerful word use.

- Expression of opinion.

**Like-count will also go under consideration.

Requirements:

Simply express in the way you know best, be it essay, poem, short story, quote, etc. All word lengths accepted.

If I catch you being disrespectful and blatantly rude to another contestant, you will be disqualified.

You can do more than one entry, but only one of those entries will win, if one is to be picked. Bot could be excellent, but it would be unfair to have all of your entries as the winners and not anyone else.

What made you who you are today?  Not who you were yesterday, or years before, and not who you willbe.  No, that's not the question; who are you, and what made you become who you are today?

It could be a testimony if you wish, or it could simply be a story based off how you became who you are.

Nothing to lengthy please, the goal is to create a story that is compelling and inviting, whether it be sad or silly!  How did you become yourself, or are you yourself yet?

I probably sound like some creep wanting to know your past, haha, I promise that's not it!  But perhaps I should become a bartender so I can hear people's stories...  I've always loved to not only share my own but listen to others as well, so that's what this contest is for.
