This is a fanfiction, but it's accessible to anybody. No prior knowledge of the game is required to understand it.

I've been enjoying the stories within the Ikemen series, but I usually feel like the main character is a bit weak, so I started thinking about how the stories would go with a stronger main character. Prince Chevalier in the Ikemen Prince game caught my attention, and thus this fanfiction was born. I am editing and fleshing out the characters as my knowledge base grows. Constructive criticism and feedback are very much welcome, especially for the princes' characters, as I really want them to be as true to the game as possible.

Current version based on content from reading Chevalier, Leon, Yves, Nokto, Licht, and Clavis' stories in the game. Yes, I know this is getting super long, and I will probably split it up into several parts in the future, but I don't see the point in doing that when I still have to read Silvio, Keith, and Gilbert's stories in the game. (I have read Jin, Luke, Sariel, and Rio in the course of this rewrite and will incorporate that information into the next rewrite.)

And in the distant future, you can look forward to A Warped Tale, which will include the same characters but have an altered timeline where Gilbert is the main love interest.

I would like this story to be as realistic as possible, so if anybody has suggestions about things like historical details, medical issues, politics, etc., let me know. That being said, the game is set in the Middle Ages, but historical accuracy is not a priority, and I'm a bit loose with it, too. (I can't fathom a world without toilets and running water.)

Thoughts of a cat lover and aspiring author.

These are a series of short stories I wrote for The Fabulous Spec-Fic Smack Down on Wattpad, which required me to write Speculative Fiction flash and short stories inspired by prompts. Speculative Fiction is a genre that’s basically a mash-up of whatever you want it to be, commonly Sci Fi, Fantasy, Horror, but by definition, anything goes. Alternate timelines and universes are pretty common in Spec Fic, too. Flash fiction is a story shorter than typical Short Stories.

This was a writing experiment for me, because:

- I had never written Speculative Fiction.

- Or flash fiction.

- Or from an image prompt.

Rhodolite's Second Prince, Chevalier Michel lives up to his colorful monikers of the Brutal Beast and the Bloody Tiger. He has no time or patience for anyone or anything that stands in his way, and he certainly never gives any thought to something so foolish as emotions. Few question him. All fear him.

Prince Chevalier in the Ikemen Prince game caught my attention, and thus "A Dove's Tale" was born. Then I thought I'd try writing the same story from Chevalier's perspective. I'd never written from a male perspective before, so this began as a writing experiment and, as with ADT, became a stand-alone story in its own right. You don't have to read ADT first to appreciate this, and although my goal is for both stories to line up with each other eventually, chapter by chapter, I'm not there yet.

At the moment, I'm working on an edit/rewrite of ADT, so there are significant differences between it and this version of ABT. The current version of ADT is based on content from reading Chevalier, Leon, Yves, Nokto, Licht, and Clavis' stories in the game. This version of ABT is much older and only based on content from reading Chevalier, Leon, Yves, and Nokto's routes. I wasn't planning on posting this here until I finished ADT and started editing ABT, but Wattpad removed ABT for content violations, so, lucky you, you get it here!

Constructive criticism and feedback are very much welcome, and if there's something you like here that you don't see in ADT, or vice versa, let me know, and I'll see if I can incorporate it into my next round of editing/rewriting. I'd like the characters to be as true to the game as possible, so any suggestions or feedback on that front is helpful, too.
