Conflict is regarded by some as a poison that continually lays waste to mortal-kind. By others it is defined as the very life blood- the driving force that makes life evolve. Some may view it as both, essential like water though too much and one will surely pass. And for those whom this story began with, they might certainly argue that they've had far too much to drink.

Many an event has transpired over the course since this world's creation. It has been 17 years since ten came together to tell a tale within the realm of PSony-3 via the Home Lands. It has been 15 years since the start of the Warring States- the fall of kingdoms and the war of businesses, and of course the devastating guild wars of the Demonic Arms and the Cynder Alliance. 11 years since the Terminator Wars which culminated in the end of Home a decade ago. 9 years since the Dark Council and 8 since the Tatara Conflict. 7 since the notorious battle of Order and Chaos, 6 since the Reaper Insurrection alongside the Demon Rebellion. 5 years since the Tatara fell, and 4 since the last tale was told. And here we are, 2025, where the next chapter is about to unfold.

Though it has not been exclusively violence along the war. Many a character arc, many a bonding moment between allies, the formation of families, the games and tales shared between. Those with motivations of grandeur, those with desires of vengeance, those with plans to change the world itself, and those who... want to open a tea shop and sing songs on the beach? WHO WROTE THIS?!

A Fantasy DnD, minus the DnD, plus the writers, plus the community. A world where you can be anyone or anything, where anything is possible. A place for those wandering aimlessly with no insight or direction to what they want.

[Vol 1 Synopsis]

Though the foundation of the world appears to be one of chaos, there does exist order. For decades, powerful orders have stood atop the world to preserve their fair share of peace and justice. Even as powers threatening their respective worlds raged forward, those under the protection of the Great Powers would not buckle. One such order is that of the Shadow Dominions, one which holds a special place in their heart for the 'lesser' races such as the Demonic. Regardless of their desire to crusade and take more of the demon lands, few powers in history have successfully challenged the full might of the Dominions... though in recent times, tragedy has befallen the order.

With the loss of Shadow Blackheart, head of both it and the Blackheart family- the loss of his cabinet and top leaders to unknown circumstance. With the deaths of several of his heirs, including the infamous Zero Blackheart and the next-in-line Leo Blackheart. With the failed coordination as the juggernaut moves so clumsily to maintain itself without a proper head. With all of it together, the future of the Dominion's hold appears bleak.

Already foreign powers and smaller factions make their plays to take territory and assets from the Dominions, and the protection of peace upheld by the group has all but disappeared as they struggle to hold on. With rivals and far far smaller yet significantly vile powers vying for control, what will befall those caught in the crossfire? The movement of rivals like the Legion of the Stars and the United Dimension Federation, the return of powerful guilds like the Demonic Arms and the Unending Empire, the threats of long-since-silent adversaries to the common people within the Demon Worlds and outside... what the future holds is nothing but uncertainty.

With the power balance disrupted, those who live within the fragile system will have to navigate carefully to avoid their own destruction.

{Pilot Novel for the Ravenlight Series}{Non-Canon}

Elise Bakuuva wants nothing more than to live an average life, to find acceptance in life and a goal for said life; though for her, a normal life seems nigh impossible. Living among the Dragon Descendants of Vulfax, she finds herself everywhere from belittled to abused by peers and family alike. The majority reject her docile book loving ways which go against their ruthless warrior ways.

Facing daily misery and depression, even physical assault, the path to find herself becomes increasingly difficult and lost to an endless fog. Things grow even more hopeless when new eyes set upon her. The Hive, warriors of Dark Power and Magic, striving to capture the Earth and bring it under their control. The Tribe, an unknown enemy to the supernatural, seeking to find Vulfax.

With enemies of the clan moving every day threatening the few things she clings to, a choice will have to be made. To become a warrior for the sake of what she needs to protect, to let things continue as they may, or to walk away from everything in the hope of a better tomorrow. One thing becomes certain to her though; her past is not the past she believes it is as more and more answers lay themselves bare as the enemies of Vulfax tighten their grips. Diving down further, she will struggle to find what she wants and believes, or she will dig her own grave in the process. The race is on!

This used to be an old blog I rarely posted to, begun back in 2020 and left to rest in 2021, originally under the name of Frost Storm Blogz. It was a mix of updates and stuff I had nowhere else to post. I figure though that since I'm doing some 'rebranding' that I just as well use it again for my longer posts & updates that I do have on and off. Maybe keep it clean this time? {Filler following the Ravenlight Pilot Novel}{Non-Canon}

Months following the collapse of her clan, Elise Bakuuva has ventured out into the new world looking to make a difference. It is upon one of her first missions that she finds herself escorting a convoy through a type of dark forest known as an Eternal Hollow. Should this convoy make it through an entire nation could be brought from poverty and enslavement, bolstered into the arms of freedom and protection against the very forces trying to stop their trek. Unknown to Elise however- Vampires are not the only thing in those woods pursuing her.

Interviews with Don, a headache of an interview show. 'Tune in' as Don interviews whoever he pleases to discuss from upcoming projects, or talk about whatever the heck else.

This was going to be a weekly series to lead up to Ravenlight's launch but technical difficulties with Project Home Bound messed things up so... ENJOY?!

As time goes on I will be posting my little "Meet the Cast" bits here, length to be determined, where I give a brief overview of who they are and sort of introduce them to the world. This won't be an in-depth thing, for that you can visit the official wiki/World-Anvil of the Ravenlight world which goes into greater detail. Images MAY be provided as well in these articles.

Background

I've been working on Ravenlight for ages it feels like. 2011-2018 was a sort of beta project that birthed Ravenlight as it is known. 2018-2020 was the writing of Novel 1, 2021 was the writing of filler, 2022 was prep work for the future (and more filler), and 2023 was the culmination of everything!! (until a SERIES of delays drug things out into 2024). The Series launched on June 4th of 2024, and it has been grand!!

Given that I have written filler, it's to be no surprise that I love posting more Ravenlight content. Awhile back I originally did this thing where I did small intros and "hey meet this character" on X (formerly Twitter) and posted a few here to Penana. That kinda fell off because I got busy and can't keep a schedule to save my life; but I want to bring this back. And so here we are. No promises on how often I will update this but as I've been wanting to showcase characters more without doing multiple Posts to X or Blue Sky, nor do I want to make it exclusive to my Discord Server as that is somewhat closed off (also no Facebook because if I have to host this anywhere, it won't be there).

{Non-Canon follow-up to the Pilot Novel}{Non-Canon}

16 Y.O. Elise Bakuuva only ever desired a life of peace and friendship; but thanks to the activities of both The Hive -- beings of dark magical power from another realm -- and of the Vampire Lord Arkaza, she now faces the opposite. With her powers awakened, she now seeks to stop a repeat of the Vulfax Valley incident that ruined the lives of so many, claiming many of the faces Elise once knew. A world of uncertainty awaits her as she pulls forward to master her new abilities, all while protecting the innocent and standing up for what she believes in.

Of course Arkaza and The Hive are not the only forces out there, and the conflict is not simply black and white. Her adventures will take her to many a scenario, from a civil war of two cultures, to a world on the brink of destruction from the powers of the universe, to hidden enemies working in the shadows to rule it all, to even the conflict of the beings who stand 'above' mortality. Through it all, all she can do is to keep moving forward and face whatever is to come, for that is what she believes in~

Destiny is what we make it, nothing is ever pre-decided, not even among the Celestials. Isn't that what they say? And yet so many Celestials opt to do the same thing, to fight the supernatural that plagues the Mortal World & threatens good. For some, it is to give back for the lives they had so that they may protect the living. For others, it is to live up to their Arch-Angel Heritage and become proud warriors. For some they simply seek knowledge or to prove themselves, even for revenge or fun.

For ten Celestial Warriors of the Starset Kingdom of Elysium, destiny seems to have a plan. While they might all have different reasons, they all shall come together for the same thing: to save their world as well as ours from Sin.

Ten shall become one and stare down the barrel of the gun pointed at reality, to disarm and save what they all believe in. Their journey will take them against mad scientists with fake monsters, against all powerful demons from beyond space and time, against even themselves; from the skies of Heaven to the depths of Hell, to the shores of the Mortal world to those unknown. For these ten gifted students, destiny has a plan most valuable. The question remains, will they follow that path and their own, or walk the boarder into darkness and succumb to become that which they fight?

Life on Genesys was as it was for any other planet in its prime, prosperous. Society after countless wars over religion, philosophy, resources, revenge, et cetera... had come together in the name of peace. For thousands of years, this peace stood strong, all until the cataclysm. The Year, now known as 0 of the new calendar, a meteor of unknown size and origin struck the planet, and tore it asunder. Dust and storms blocked the light of Genesys's Mother Star for years, causing an extinction of much of the life on the world. The impact left a scar the size of a small country on the Southern Pole, though that was not all it did.

In the coming months it became evident that the impact had disrupted the Astral Forces of the planet, tearing its Celestial Energy in half. The outcome had robbed the planet of its life force and severely wounded it though that was not all. Portals began to appear, portals to the planet's other half... a darker half full of demons, monsters, and unknown evils. In no time at all these dark forces began to war and invade Genesys, driving humanity itself to near extinction. All had appeared lost until the arrival of two organizations, Light Tech Industries and the Revelations Project. Together under the name of the Holy Empire, they combated this darkness that threatened their world. While the war was not truly won, it gave humanity the chance to recover at long last.

Society rebuilt itself through famine and evil though quickly found itself against other problems, corruption. Many a person sought what the Holy Empire had brought, thus they began to start wars with more than the dark realm. For centuries this had remained the norm until finally all the kingdoms settled following much bloodshed. It is the year 20xx. All is peaceful in the video game world. Sony and Microsoft have put their weapons aside and Nintendo has exported itself to all other lands. The Universe is at peace... then everything changed when the Canadianators attacked.

Under the leadership of the mysterious Lord Dona'tor who had claimed the power of The Magic Lamp, the Canadianators slowly began to sweep across the lands to take over Sony World, Microsoft World, and finally Nintendo World. In a last ditch effort, young Emile Chugga A. Conroy has been sent back in time to before Lord Dona'tor would rise to power. His objective, to find a weakness or the Lamp to prevent the awful future from ever happening, to save the Universe.

Along his journey, Chugga will face new friends, new enemies, new obstacles, and the ever approaching assassin known as Canadiator who has been sent by Lord Dona'tor to stop Chugga. It's a race against time where only one can win. Should the Dona'tor of the past get the Lamp, it could be too late to stop the horrible Video Game Apocalypse of the future!!

The year is 2032, October 7th.  It was a night like any other.  Humanity had grown to be successful with most plagues and war threats gone.  All was looking up until this night, the night of the comet.  At the stroke of 3 AM, a comet crashed down and plunged deep into the Earth's crust, setting off a barrage of shock waves and other problematic sorts like volcanoes and Tsunamis.

Just when the worst seemed to be over, it became clear that this comet was no ordinary comet, it being one that tore open portals to 'the shadow world', one parallel with our own and from it, dark creatures began to invade.  Humanity dwindled in the coming war for many years until at last, the Sun returned driving the enemy back.  It was obvious, they were weak to sunlight.  It was then that humanity decided it best to withdraw from the physical realm and into special shelter cities that the Dark Menace could not penetrate.

Centuries later and all was the same though now, minus exploration missions into the Shadow World though those times are soon to be up as Dark Forces infiltrate the human world just as the plan for invasion comes up.  Who will come out on top?

Life couldn't be any more ordinary for Derrick and his friends, so painfully so that on the night of wishing they could find excitement at long last. Wish granted as later that evening when they witness the Order of Natural, Unusual, and Strange (ONUS) combat a strange creature not of this world. Facing total memory erasal or to join ONUS, they choose the latter and become specially trained forces to investigate and put a stop to the strange and unusual... how will they fair though as the activity of the unusual increases due to a yet to be seen unnatural force?
