In the continent of Kaldonia, plague is spreading to nearly every city and town, leaving the population in shambles. Malachi and Carson, two orphaned pickpockets come into contact with news of an old myth: Miracle of the Phoenix! The two boys set on a long adventure, trying to outrun the mystical plague and in search of the cure! Death comes to all things, better yet, sometimes it sticks with you. You see, I've had a near-death experience, no-scratch that, I HAVE died and fortunately I have come back from the dead, via hospital means. Those of you who know someone that has been brought back, even if they were dead for a mere minute, have been lied to. See, some of us have secrets and others, like me, have an even bigger secret...I've met death... the Grim Reaper Death, you know, the one with the robe and the huge scythe? Yeah... That Death. I don't have much time so please read this and help me finish my mission: to live or die.

How many days, months, years have I been secluded in this dark labyrinth? How did I get here and why? Who am I even for that matter? These are all the questions I ask myself everyday as I try and decipher what happened to me. A strange man, a stranger with so much familiarity is there when I awake, dodging everything I ask him with a mere, "You'll know soon enough," with no effort in helping me remember or even learn what happened for that matter. It is time to go and find out myself, whether the world wants me to or not.
