This side of New York was so beautiful.
I never come to the upper east side, I had no reason too. Never had the money or the connections to be over here, I only ever saw it on TV. It’s always been strange to me how another world is almost always just two or three blocks away.
I put my legs down as we pulled off from the main entrance of the NYU campus. I smiled softly to myself thinking about the fact this was Parker and Zay’s dream college.
All they’ve ever wanted was to go here. “Wanna tell me what’s on your mind? I have about an 20 minute drive.”
I started to play with my fingers, so much was on my mind.
“A lot of different things.” I answered truthfully. “I just.. Nevermind” I shook my head slightly deciding not to open up.
“No, talk. I get the feeling you’ve never had a chance too. So tell me, your secrets are safe with me” I sighed , “Just scared about the future that’s all” I shrugged sightly.
“Don’t know what’s next. Don’t wanna hold Parker and Zay back, wanna do the best I can do they don’t have to worry about me.” I don’t know when my eyes filled with tears, but when I blinked they all slid down my cheeks. “It just hit me that.. without Parker and Zay - I have no idea what to do or where I’m going in life you know?”
I put my arms over my face embarrassed at the fact I was breaking down to a man I just met. “Hey wait a minute, come here don’t cry” I heard Mav open my door and pull me into his chest, “You’re worried for no reason. Parker and Zay aren’t going to let anything happen to you.
