"Wait what?!" Jonah quickly responded. Phoenix having now been able to catch her breath looked at Jonah with a questionable look on her face seeing this Alex said, "Phoenix G.S. was a mystery man that at the start of Jonah's senior year left a random note for him in locker and as time went on the notes continued for almost a month before G.S. disappeared because his father found out he was gay and severely beat him causing G.S. to kill himself. Cops didn't even find his body until two weeks after it happened. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of his death but that photo is only a month old."
Phoenix was shocked with disbelieve and responded, "But he said that when the man in the photo comes here to say that G.S. left the dog here for him. If the real G.S. is dead then who left the dog?" Jonah trying to stay strong and hold back tears asked, "Did he give you a note to give to me?" Phoenix pulled out a note from her back pocket responding with, "Oh no he didn't give it to me it was held onto the dog with the collar." She handed Jonah the note and Alex the leash saying, "Don't worry about paying for the dog or anything I'll take care of that since he was dropped off for Jonah."
After they had gotten back into the car Jonah opened the note up and read it. The note said, "Hey Jonah. I know you probably have a lot of questions right now, but I promise they will be answered in due time. Yes I know that the news said I was dead, well I'm not if that didn't show enough. I faked my death so I could finally get away from my dad I had some friends help me, but I promise I am back now. I'll give you another letter after I know you got Jake, that's the dog he used to be him. I've decided to give him to you. I hope you get this, hell I hope you are alive. I saw what that man was doing to you and I knew I couldn't do anything because if he disappeared it would hurt you but it hurt me even more to not do anything." Jonah looked Alex dead in the eyes awestruck and said, "It is G.S. He's back."
