While Jonah was getting settled into his new room at Alex's house he got out the "G.S." box and opened it. He pulled out a newspaper clipping that read "August 14th, 1996 Local boy found dead in his room by police, who later found out that the boy's father had found him a week prior and decided to not report it and just ignore his dead son's body. The father was promptly arrested for murder because it was found out that he drove his son to kill himself after severely beating him. As for as police can tell the boy was dead for at least two weeks before he was found. Family pet was found caged up in the basement weak, frail, abused and just barely hanging on to life so authorities decided to take the German shepherd to a emergency vet clinic to have it taken care of as best that could be done. Sadly he did not make it, so because of this there are rumors that the father will also be charged with several counts of animal abuse. The boy has yet to be named because the father refuses to give his name and no records to put a name to his face have been found yet."
As Jonah was reading the newspaper clipping tears were welling up in his eyes and he was on the verge of tears when Alex walking into the room to see how he was settling in. Alex sat on the bed with Jonah and hugged him close saying "Hey man I know how much he meant to you. I'm sorry you were never able to meet him in person while he was alive you two would have made an amazing couple and he would have been lucky as hell to have you." Jonah sniffled and put the newspaper clipping back into the back gently smiling at Alex's words. Alex could just barely see the corner of Jonah's smile creep in and smiled himself helping Jonah put the box on a shelve.
"Hey man how about we go out to eat tonight, my treat. You still like sushi right?" Alex had asked knowing the answer. "Yeah I do but I don't know if I'm in the mood to go out tonight." Jonah replied sadly feeling like he had let Alex down. "That's not a problem we can order out and rent a movie have an adult version of a slumber party." Alex said chuckling at himself. Jonah gently smirked at this, replying "You know what that doesn't sound half bad." "Just don't hog the blanket this time." Alex joked as he walked out of the room going to order their food.
