Phoenix looks behind her to see where Jonah is point to. When she realizes he is pointing at the german shepherd she says, "Oh, him? We got told to hold onto him and to only give him to a certain person. I forget who but there should be a picture around here somewhere." As Phoenix was finishing her sentence she started to look for the picture. Alex was the first to respond saying, "Oh if he already belongs to someone we can go take a look at the others."
Alex grabbed Jonah's hand slightly pulling him with him towards the other animals. Jonah reluctantly went along with him slightly frowning but still happy about being able to adopt a dog, even if it isn't the one he wanted. Alex saw that Jonah was a little sad, so he stopped walking and looking Jonah in the eyes as he said, "Listen I said we would come here so you could adopt your own dog and I promise that's what is going to happen." Jonah gave a small smile knowing that his best friend in elementary school was still truly his best friend no matter what happened.
"GUYS I FOUND THE PICTURE AND YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHO IT IS!" Phoenix was yelling as she was running towards Alex and Jonah with the german shepherd's lease in hand and the dog trailing behind. They both turned and looked at her as she caught up with them. Since she was completely out of breath Phoenix held up the photo revealing the person to be Jonah for only a few months ago while he was out on a date with Ace. Jonah shocked at this photo asked, "Who was it that dropped the dog off for me?" Phoenix responded in between breaths, "G.S. ... I think ... was his name."
