The creature was a thing beyond what any sane mind could comprehend; it inspired fear and reeked madness. The words to describe it were limited in their capability to capture the true horror, perhaps it would be easier to mention the effect, the pungent sickness that swelled in the stomach, encapsulated by the gross odour of puss and decay.
The thing, in form, could only be described as a large shapeless blob oozing with slime, the only clear appendages of which were two stumpy arms that emerged like slugs from the creature’s sides. In colour the thing was a dark purple like lumps of oil or coagulated blood, though in the dimness of the room it was difficult to tell. What was clear about this monstrosity was that it had eyes, human eyes filled with dread and longing. It opened its gaping mouth is if crying for help.
