The day after tomorrow is Songkran day.
It’s a Thai new year’s holiday held between 13-15 April of every year.
But most of the people will always start the holiday before the actual day.

They’re wandering around. Stopped by to check out the shops sometimes but nothing seems to hook their interest yet. Except for the cosmetics shop that the girls seem to be particularly interested in, so they choose to stop by.
“This foundation is really good. I use it a lot”
“Uh huh, I never use it, tbh. It was too expensive”
The girls are enjoying themselves. Meanwhile, the 2 young men had to go sit at the nearby bench.
“I’ll buy it for you then”
“Huh? you serious?”
“Yeah, consider buying it for my sister. I’m going to buy it for your mom as well”
“Wait…but it’s…”
“Don’t forget how rich I am”
“...Thank you, P’Li”
Beam was so grateful that she hugged Lifa. To which Lifa patted her beloved sister’s head in return.
After purchasing it, but on their way back to Boom and Paul, Lifa caught her eye at one of the clothing stores.

“Jesus. Are you thinking that far?”
“Uh, wait…No, I- I mean…”
Lifa was surprised by Beam’s words, and tried her best to correct the misunderstanding.
“Aiming at the wedding dress? Not bad”
Beam double tapped Lifa’s shoulder, who is currently blushed, before saying ‘Still a long way to go’ .
They went back to Boom and Paul who were sitting with a plastic bag that had a box inside.
“What’s that?” beam asked.
“There’s a figure shop behind there. So we decided to go check…”
“And brought a few of it”
Judging by Paul’s words. The ‘brought a few of it’ definitely cost them tens of thousands.
“What did you 2 get?” Boom asked.
“Just 2 foundations. Let’s get going”
After some talking, they continue to wander around. While looking at a variety of shops. At the 6th floor, which is full of restaurants and the magnificent movie theater.
“What should we eat?”
‘Anything, there’s too much of it“
“Yeah, I also don’t know what to eat”
Looks like Beam and Paul are just too lazy to decide.
*poke poke* Lifa poking his arm.
“I want to try that ramen. There’s a promotion for a group of 4”
“That should do it”
They entered the restaurant and selected what to eat, while they’re waiting, Boom showed Lifa the figure he bought.
“Look at the details of this. It’s really gorgeous”
“Indeed, it’s gorgeous”
Boom joyfully introduces his waifu figure to Lifa. Beam and Pual, who are sitting across from them, could only look at them while waiting.
“Hm?”
Lifa notices a small black box that hides at the bottom of the bag.
“Boom, what’s that box?”
“A free gift or something, I don't know. I and Paul got it when we bought the figure”
“I see”
Boom secretly sent his eyes to Paul. Paul then snapped his fingers and gave him thumbs up.
(What the hell?) Beam thought.
Shortly after, the food was served.
“Boom”
“?”
“Ahhh”
Lifa handed Boom the chopsticks holding the onsen eggs. So Boom opened his mouth as she said and ate it.
“Hey hey, chill out you two”
“Please do anything with consideration, I beg you”
“You should get used to it”
Lmao. Boom and Lifa giggling.
After eating, they went to pay the bills and left.
Since they have no idea what to do next, they decide to leave.
“I’Paul, can you drop me off at the mall? I need to buy some ingredients”
“Sure, you're gonna make dinner?”
“I am. btw, what are your parents' preferences?”
“Anything. They’re not picky eaters. but don’t buy too much, ok? We have a turkey in a fridge”
“Ok. I’Li, can I use the kitchen?”
“Yes, you can”
“Can you make garlic bread? I haven’t eat it for a while”
“I can make it for you”
Agreeing to the menu, Paul drove into the department store not too far away. So Boom could go in and buy ingredients for the dinner. With Lifa accompanying him as she will be paying for all the expenses herself.
“You think I’Li go along with him just because she wants to flirting with him?”
“Sure is. When we’re at grandma’s house. They even sleep in the same room”
“You serious?”
“Yep. They practically stick together on Songkran day. And don’t get me start on when we are on the plane, They hugged each other so tightly, I think he might forgot our existence”
“Goddamn. We might get to see our niece/nephew faster than we initially thought, I’Beam”
“I’ll give it no more than 7 years”
Almost an hour has passed, Boom and Lifa finally come back with 4-5 paper bags in their hands.
“Didn’t I say not to buy too much?. Idiot”
“I did exactly what you said. Righ, I’Li”
“Yeah, we didn’t buy too much of it”
Right after they load their stuff into the car. Paul then starts the car and drives home.
They arrived at home at 6pm. they got a warm welcome by the maids that were waiting for them. But neither Boom nor beam are used to this.
Anyway, the maids helped them unload their groceries into the kitchen and led them to the living room.
“You’re not used to it?”
Chai teased them. Paul noice his presence and greets him politely.
“Where’s mom?”
“She’s chatting with Mrs.Koi and Mrs.Patt at the backyard”
“Oh ok. Btew, I’m gonna make the dinner tonight”
“For real? Give it all you got, ok? I’ll go tell everybody”
“Ok”
The father-son high five each other before Chai left the scene. Boom and Lifa then go to the kitchen to prepare the food. Paul goes back to his room. And Beam picked up nelly who happened to pass by to play.
“Can we…use this turkey?” Boom asked the maids.
“Yes sir, you can”
“Great”
After getting the permission. Boom took out the turkey onto the counter before wearing the gloves.
“Btw, what did you guys use to marinate the turkey?”
“Just a simple salt and baking powder, sir”
Classic. Boom thought.
He inspected the chicken that got the backbone and entrails removed, followed by the butter, pepper, finely chopped garlic, parsley, coriander roots into the bowl, finished with salt before mixing it well before rubbing it all over the chicken.
“Have you ever worked with turkey before?” Lifa asked.
“Nope, only intuition here”
Finished rubbing, Boom then baked the chicken on high heat for 80 minutes in the oven.
As for the garlic bread that Beam requested. Boom wants to try to do the version he saw on a Korean street food video. Start with pouring a 110 milliliter of milk into a bowl, followed by 30 grams of sugar and 4 grams of yeast. Mix it well until the yeast dissolves. Then add 250 grams of bread flour, 3 grams of salt and finish with 1 egg before mixing it well.
When stirred until there is no liquid left in a bowl. Boom then start to knead the dough for 5 minutes, and put the dough onto the counter and start kneading it again with 20 grams of unsalted butter. Once kneaded until smooth, he put the dough in a bowl and covered it with a wrap to let it rise for another hour.
An hour has passed, he took it out of the bowl acn continued kneading it for 2 minutes and divided it into 9 equal parts. And let it rise for another 30 minutes.
“Isn’t it too small for 9 people?” Lifa asked.
“Not at all. There must be someone who doesn't want to eat it” replied Boom.
30 minutes later, Boom put it into another oven with 180 degrees celsius for 20 minutes.
While waiting, He mix garlic butter with an egg together and set aside. Then mix the cream cheese, parmesan cheese and milk together.
20 minutes passed, when the bread was done, Boom took it out and let it cool before squeezing cream cheese on it. Then dip it face in a garlic butter cup. Squeeze a little more cream cheese on top, and bake it at 160 degrees celsius for 10 minutes.
“Done”
“What a great smell. Where did you get the recipe from?”
“A lot actually. Let’s continue”
The next menu, Boom took out a pork loin and cut slits into the fat on both sides of the meat before using a hammer to pound the pork until it became flat. The next step is to coat the pork in flour, eggs and bread crumbs respectively.
“The oil is ready”
“Is it 160 degrees celsius?”
“Exactly that”
Great. Boom give Lifa a head pat as a reward. Before frying the pork 3 minutes on each side. Lifa then goes to scoop rice into the bowl, cut the onions and prepare the mitsuba.
“While you’re there, can you make the sauce too?”
“I sure can”
Lifa heat a pan and stir-fry the onions until it is cooked. Add dashi stock, seasoning with soy sauce, mirin, sugar and let it simmer. Once it becomes thick enough, Boom then puts the pork into the pan. Follow by pouring a beaten egg around the meat and close the lid, wait 20 seconds, then sprinkle the mitsuba and close the lid again, wait for another 30 seconds and it’s done.
“Are you gonna make food for each of us”
“No, we already have a turkey, remember? A few more side dishes is enough”
“Then whose dish is this?”
“You”
“Huh…me?”
“Yeah, I made it for you”
The pink eyes sparkling, She put the katsudon down and hugged Boom. With her face completely buried into his chest.
“Thank you”
“You’re welcome”
Boom gently hugged her back. Before they pulled away from each other because the maids were looking at them.
The next menu, since they have chicken, how can he miss out on somtum(papaya salad),right? So Boom took out some unripe papaya and chopped it into pieces.
“Do you have a large pestle and mortar, I’Li?”
“I have, give me a second”
When got it, Boom put chili and garlic into a mortar and pounded them coarsely. Then adding the sliced tomatoes, yardlong beans as well. Season with fish sauce, palm sugar, MSG and lime. Follow with chopped papaya, pound it well, then add a little more chili, and put it on a plate and sprinkle with dried shrimp and peanuts.
“Wanna try?”
“Yes”
Lifa uses a fork and scoops up the somtum to try it.
“How was it? I haven’t made somtum for a long time”
“Delicious”
“We’ll eat it with sticky rice. I’ll make mac&cheese next”
“Will it really match with the other?”
“Trust me, it will”
“Ok…I’ll boil the macaroni”
Boom, turn the stove on. Preheat the pan before adding 30 grams of butter, 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1.5 grams of all-purpose flour. Follow with another 400 milliliters of milk, stir until combined, and then add 120 milliliter of heavy cream. Then seasoning with 1 tablespoon each of salt, pepper and paprika powder. Follow with 50 grams each of parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese and stir it well.
Lifa, who had just finished boiling the macaroni, poured out the water before adding cheese into the macaroni to coat it well. Then she scoop the macaroni out into a heatproof bowl and decorate with mozzarella cheese. And put it in another oven with the top heat set to 200 degrees for about 5 minutes.
“Shit hot hot hot hot hot!”
After baking, Boom put on heat proof gloves before taking it out. Lifa quickly grabbed the wooden tray so that Boom could place an extremely hot bowl on it.
Shortly after, the chicken is done, So Boom took it out, cut it into sections and put it on a plate. As for the dipping sauce, there are 2 options: Jaew and seafood.
“Could you help us serve this, please?”
“Understood, sir”
The maids bring Boom’s food to serve. Except for Lifa’s katsudon, which she carries herself.
Boom remove the gloves before following them. When arriving at the dining room, he found everyone sitting happily eating what he made without saying a word.
“The turkey is really delicious, Boom. Plus, the jaew sauce is also really good” Koi said as she sliced the turkey.
“Uh…Much appreciated”
“The somtum is really great. What did you put into his?” Patt asked as she rolled the sticky rice.
“Just a little bit of chili an MSG”
“This mac&cheese is awesome. It goes surprisingly well with the turkey” Said Dew.
“I’m grateful”
“Did you just get better, buddy?” Dome teased him.
“Isn’t that obvious, sir?”
After countering his words. Boom, go sit next to Lifa and start eating.
To be entirely honest, this is one of only a few times that Boom went all out in cooking. He was a little worried at first whether his food was good or not. But after hearing all the compliments, he felt indescribably relieved.
“My apologized, but my son is not good at handling compliment”
“He’s always like this since he’s a kid”
“No problem at all, Mr.Tak Mr.Chai. He’s getting better at talking”
Koi helped defend him.
“Where’s I’Paul?”
“I’m here”
Paul came out of nowhere and greeted him before sitting beside Boom.
“You seriously made all these?”
“Yeah, here”
Boom handed him sticky rice and somtum.
“Hey, this is legitimately impressive”
“I told you Boom is good at cooking”
Lifa happily smiles and leans against Boom. Everyone at the table, including the nearby maids , smiled with affection.
“Btw bro. Did you make that katsudon for P’Li?” Beam asked.
“Yeah”
“Where our’s?”
“I don’t have ingredients. I only bought enough for 1 portion”
“So you only made it for P’Li then?”
Beam’s intention was to mock him. However, Boom mischievously smirks instead.
“That’s right, I made it especially for my girlfriend. Anything wrong with that?”
The ‘Aw~’ erupted from Koi,Tak and Patt, including the nearby maids, after Boom said that. Dome, Chai and Dew just smiling.
“Bro, you’re bold”
“I just answering your question, I’Beam”
“I’m not worried about the others. I’m worried about P’Li”
When he turned to look, Boom saw Lifa is hiding her face out of embarrassment. But her effort is practically meaningless because her ears are also very red.
“You’re…again with this…”
Lifa said in a shaky voice as she lightly hit her head on Boom. To which Boom didn’t mind and patted her head back.
*Yawn~*
Nelly, who’s eating the turkey, let out a yawn before lying down under Boom’s chair.

After dinner, everyone dispersed to their respective rooms. Tak and Chai will be in guest bedroom number 1, Beam sleeps in the 2nd room. And Boom will sleep in Lifa’s room tonight.
“We’ll have to leave tomorrow”
“You’re right. When will school start again?”
“May 17th. You never remember that, don’t you?”
“My bad”
Lifa lightly pinched Boom’s cheek as a punishment. Boom then counters with a kiss to Lifa’s forehead, causing her to be stunned.
“Again with this…”
“My bad my bad”
Boom hug Lifa as an apology. Lifa uses this opportunity to push him onto the bed.
“I’ve got my revenge”
She smiles like a cocky child before kissing his mouth. Boom was stunned and replied ‘O..Ok’.
After teasing each other. Lifa and Boom help sorting some stuff. As for cleaning, the maids had already done it before they came. So There's nothing left to do.
It’s currently 10pm. Boom decided to take a bath. Luckily, Lifa had a built-in bathroom, so there’s no need for them to go outside to use the bathroom.
“Er…Boom”
“Wanna take a bath with me, I’m guessing”
“Aw~ How do you know that…”
“How many times do you think I’m hearing that?”
Finished speaking, Boom removed his shirt and stretched his hand out.
“Come here, my love”
“H- Hphm!”
Lifa's smile grows wide before she slowly takes off her clothes and gets into the bath with her beloved boyfriend.
Since it also has a bathtub. Boom and Lifa are now closer than they had ever been.
After bathing, Lifa picks the light green pajamas for Boom because she thinks that it would go well with his blue eyes. Boom then picks the pajamas with the same color for her because they would look good together. To which she agreed.
“I’m thinking of staying up late. You?”
“Same thing. I’ll bring you a laptop”
But before she could walk a single step, Boom suddenly grabbed her hand.
“I’Li…”
“?”
“Well…Do you remember that box I said was a free gift?”
“I do. The one from the figure?”
“Yeah, that one”
“Why you ask?”
Before she could get the answer, Boom opened the window curtains, and a beautiful moonlight shone on them.
“So pretty…”
Lifa said as she took out her phone to take a picture.
“Um…Don’t misunderstand me just yet. I’m not in a rush or anything. But it’s like…
“What’s wrong Boom? I’m still confused” She scratched her head.
Instead of explaining, Boom kneels down and takes out that small box.
“Wha- What!? wa wait! Boom…I- I’m not ready!”
She’s frustrated.
“Calm down, I already told you I’m not in a rush as well”
“O- Oh…you’re right”
*Sigh* she sigh.
“But…We better be ready”
Boom opened the box, revealing a golden ring decorated with a small diamond that looked extremely gorgeous.
He took it out and slowly put it on her left ring finger.
“A- Are you…”
“It’s just an engagement ring worth a few thousand baht. It’s the cheapest, don’t worry. Sorry, if you don’t like it”
“B- But…Did Paul pay for you?”
“No, he didn’t. I bought it with my own money”
“Are you being serious right now?”
“I am. There’s still some left in my bank account tho”
Everything became awkward after Boom’s speech. Only the sound of the AC is still loud enough.
Boom lifts his head up to look at Lifa, who is overflowing in tears, as she covers her mouth.
“I- I’Li!? What’s wrong!?”
Frustrated, Boom got up and tried to comfort Lifa ASAP.
“If you don’t like it…You can take it off, you know?”
“No”
Lifa answers in a lingering tone. She looked up with a wide smile.
“Today…Is the best day of my life!”
She hugged Boom until he fell. Boom could feel that she is crying right now.
“I don’t know how to thank you enough…You did so much for me”
She says as she tries her best to hold her tears. The life of a girl named ‘Lifa’ has changed dramatically since she met Boom. Although it might sound outlandish, but if on that day, her father didn’t yell at Nelly…..Lifa probably wouldn’t have met a good guy like Boom.
On the other hand, if Boom hadn’t noticed Nelly, who was shivering under the rain that day, he would probably just be lazing around the house right now.
They both were extremely grateful for those 2 events that brought them together.
Boom picked Lifa up and sat her on the bed and wiped her tears off.
“It’s ok. As long as we lived together,I’m grateful”
“Y- Yeah! We’ll be forever together!”
After speaking, Lifa kissed his mouth. They both intensely kiss and exchange their tongue as they’re tightly hugged together.
Shortly after, the 2 separated from each other.
“Wanna play some games?”

In the next day, Tak and Chai, who had just finished loading their stuff, thanked Dome, Koi, Dew and Patt for allowed them to stay at this luxurious place.

Boom joking with them as he carried his laptop bag. Dome then replied ‘Yeah, sure’.
“I’ll leave Lifa to you now” Koi says this time.
“I’ll take a good care of her”
“Until we meet again” Beam said before getting into the car.
“Boom surely can take care of me. Rest assure”
Lifa, who is holding Nelly, said and led her into the car.
“What a lovely couple”
“Looking forward to the wedding tho”
Patt and Dew teased them.
“Btw, where’s Paul, auntie Patt?”
“That one is still asleep. I’ll go wa-”
“I’m already up”
Suddenly, Paul came out of nowhere and spoke before approaching Boom.
“Mission?”
“Succeded”
“Good. See you in discord”
“Got it”
The 2 mens fist bump each other. Before Boom and Lifa get into the car.
“I’ll go visit you when I have a time”
“Sure you’ll do”
They both say their goodbye before Chai drives off.
*Yawn* Lifa yawning.
“You stayed up late, sis?”
“A little. We ended up playing games together a little late, so we didn’t get enough sleep”
“I would thinking about dirty stuff, if it weren’t for that first sentence”
“You naughty little brat” Boom scolds her for that.
“You picking a fight, bro?”
“You think I’m scared? Come at me”
The siblings start a trash talking war. Lifa could only smile sheepishly and gently patted Nelly’s head with her left hand.

Actually, I started writing this chapter back in November 2023(For the Thai version, I started translating this a month ago). As for the reason, I just want to round up the number to 50, that’s why hahaha!
About the illustration, I’m actually not sure when I will finish all of it, either. Because I’m in the middle of my internship. But I’ll try my best to draw it!
If this story ended up pretty good. I might write a sequel to this. Who knows?
