It was 11:58 p.m. in Compton, and Aidoneus had parked his car several streets away from his leading destination: Edgar's house. After his Aidoneus told and showed Persefone the truth, he explained everything: the pack, traditions, and other things about werewolf society. Aidoneus wanted to keep watch to ensure Persefone's safety, but she wouldn't have any of it. She told him to leave and that they would meet the following day. However, Aidoneus only pretended to leave and used his werewolf abilities to keep his tracks quiet. There were a couple of large trees close to her house, and he hid in one of them. After getting permission from his father, he contacted Garret and Trinidad about the situation. Aidoneus told him about his plans and asked if they could help.
The couple accepted the directions and waited for them. When Treyton texted the address, Aidoneus waited for the couple. It wasn't the best part of the city, but it didn't matter to Aidoneus. He wanted Edgar to leave Persefone alone, and he had to instill fear in him. Aidoneus got out of his car and walked to the house. There were some trees, and he climbed onto one of them. From the tree, the werewolf noticed one of the lit rooms and knew Edgar was home. Aidoneus sniffed, and to his relief, Edgar was the only one at home; a wolfish smirk came across his face.
"Is that where he lives?"
Aidoneus violently flinched as he saw Trinidad sitting beside him. He couldn't believe that he couldn't sense them. "You frightened me, Trinidad!"
Trinidad shrugged and winked at Aidoneus. "You know how I am. Besides, I'm a little worried about your sensory skills. If you're going to be Alpha one day, you need to sense danger."
"Well, I wouldn't consider you dangerous, Trinidad. Just nosey." Trinidad pinched his right cheek, making Aidoneus cringe.
"Trinidad, let the poor lad go. We're here because he needs our help," said Garret as he had his arms crossed. "First of all, congratulations with your mate. Secondly, are you sure your plan will work? How do you know that this child will get scared?"
"People like him always try to impose fear onto others due to the lack of power they never had. He didn't have the galls to face me when we were face to face. Edgar goes after Persefone since he views her as nothing more than a meek and weak woman."
Trinidad let go of Aidoneus, and her expression hardened. Aidoneus and Garret knew that she was enraged deep down. "I despise people like that." She looked at her husband, who nodded as he motioned a backpack beside him. "We brought things that will make it a little more interesting."
The backpack was motioned to Aidoneus, who opened it and looked inside. He chuckled. "Trinidad, was all this necessary?"
"Believe it or not, it was Garret's idea." She and Aidoneus looked at Garret, who looked away and had a blush on his face. "Christmas is coming up, s-so I thought it would be best to convince him that what we are about to do is real."
Aidoneus nodded. "Well, it's time to show Edgar the Christmas spirit."
Meanwhile, Edgar was in his room looking at his phone in a small house decorated with a few Christmas lights. He was trying to track where Persefone was, but to his disappointment, there was no signal. Edgar knew that there was a possibility that Persefone would find out about it and bought a new phone. "Damn it! She think she off the hook, but it ain't over 'till I say it's over."
He was getting sleepy and knew that his mother wouldn't be back home for another hour since she was working at her other part-time job. His mother was constantly asking him about Persefone. Edgar knew that his mother liked Persefone; he liked her too since she was beautiful. Edgar didn't want to let Persefone go, but he did want to explore more. It angered him that he was caught. His mother would have been angry that he cheated on Persefone; his father cheated on his mother. It would have broken his mother's heart.
"I gotta find a way to get her back." The young man was about to turn off his light, but suddenly, the lights went off independently. Edgar flinched and realized that he didn't turn the switch. "Damn it! The lights went out! I know that I paid the light bill!" Edgar got his phone, turned on the flashlight, and walked out of his room as the darkness surrounded him. He had to go to the basement to check the electricity box; when getting closer, there were the sounds of bells. Edgar stopped in his tracks to ensure what he had heard. He moved his phone's light to see where the noise was coming from; there was nothing. "There's nothin'. Must've been my imagination." Edgar continued onto the basement downstairs by the kitchen.
The house was eerily silent, which usually didn't bother the young man, but Edgar couldn't help but feel it was different this time. He couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being watched. The feeling was ignored, and Edgar eventually went to the basement in total darkness. Edgar turned his flashlight where the electricity box was located, but to his shock, the box had claw marks, destroying the wires. Next to the box was a piece of paper taped onto the wall. When getting closer, Edgar got the paper.
An eyebrow was raised. The note that had child-like writing that said:
"YOU HAVE BEEN NAUGHTY THIS YEAR."
-Santa Claus
"What the heck is this? Probably Mom put it up for a prank." The bells echoed upstairs, and then the doors closed, making Edgar flinch. His phone almost dropped due to the surprise. Edgar's heart raced. "Is someone there!?"
There was no answer; Edgar's legs trembled. He slowly looked up the stairs with his flashlight. There was a note on the door, but the young man wasn't sure whether or not to get to it. He waited to see if there was any movement or noise. When there wasn't, he slowly walked up the stairs and got the note which read:
"YOU'RE NOT ONLY GETTING COLE THIS YEAR."
-Santa Claus
Also, the note had a dry red stain that looked like blood. Edgar dropped the paper as he trembled. "Wh-What the heck w-w-was th-that!?" Suddenly, the door opened again. "Wh-Whose there!?" There was no answer, and Edgar waited for any movement, but there was none. When he took his first few steps, bells jingled, and there was music.
The music sounded like a dark version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: melancholic with a hint of softness.
"HO! HO! HO!"
Edgar's fear intensified when he heard the music, but confusion set in when he heard the other sound. "Th-That sounded like S-Santa Claus," he whispered to himself. The bells kept on tolling, and Edgar slowly went up the stairs. That was when he noticed some colorful but dim lights; his Christmas tree was turned on.
"HO! HO! HO!"
Edgar reached the top but stopped as he tried to take a peak. "Wh-Who's there!? I-I'm armed!"
The noise and music stopped; it was nothing but eerie silence. Then, he heard the door closing. Edgar waited another moment longer. "Th-They probably left." Relief set in, and Edgar slowly walked out of the basement, closing the door behind him. However, he noticed what looked like scratch marks on the door. "What in the-!" A figure running echoed, and Edgar turned around, but nothing could be seen. "Hey! I said-!"
"EDGAR...." A deep masculine voice came from the living room where the Christmas tree and presents were. Edgar trembled as he heard his name.
"HO! HO! HO! EDGAR, I KNOW YOU'RE THERE. SANTA CLAUS IS HERE."
"MS. CLAUS IS ALSO HERE, DEARY."
Edgar felt his heart skip a beat. "L-L-Last warning or I will use my weapon!"
"COME IN HERE, DEARY. DON'T MAKE US COME FOR YOU. YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ESCAPE. YOUR HOUSE IS SURROUNDED."
The fear and nervousness intensified. The intruders knew about his bluff; Edgar feared what they would do if he didn't obey. The young man slowly walked to the living room, and once in sight, Edgar saw two figures standing in the shadows close to the plastic wireless Christmas tree. The tall figure was slightly chunky but had Santa's clothing. The other figure was shorter but had more of a feminine aura and wore a puffy dress and hat. "Wh-Who the hell are you guys! What prank is this!?"
"HO! HO! HO! You think this is a prank, you bad boy? You always believed in our existence, Edgar."
"S-Santa ain't real. It's all fake!"
The Santa figure stood still and suddenly snapped his fingers. Dishes from the kitchen fell, making a terrifying noise; Edgar screamed and violently cringed. "You think my wife and I were fake? Ho! Ho! Ho! That's why people like you always end up on the naughty list. My wife and I decided that it was time to change things this year."
Mrs. Claus giggled. "We have been watching you, little bad Edgar. We have seen all the bad things you have done. You lied to your mommy, lied to the woman who loved you, and dare to threaten her. THIS WON'T DO." To Edgar's horror, he saw Santa and Mrs. Claus's eyes change into a golden color; her voice became deep and wolffish. "To teach you a lesson about being a bully, it's time to show consequences for your actions. Oh, little Rudolph!"
Bells echoed, and walking steps echoed; they came from the kitchen. Sweat formed on Edgar's neck; his mouth and throat became dry. His stomach clenched as he slowly turned around toward the kitchen. In the darkness, Edgar saw a figure standing on all fours, slightly taller than Edgar. The figure had what looked like antlers and a red nose that glowed in the dark. The figure growled as its eyes glowed a golden color. "R-R-R-Rudolph!?"
"Our little 'Rudolph' can change sizes. Show him, our little reindeer," said Santa Claus.
Edgar's eyes widened as the 'reindeer' changed size; he became the size of a husky dog. However, 'Rudolph' still growled.
Santa Claus and Ms. Claus opened the door and slowly walked out. "Our little red-nosed 'reindeer' will take our place in teaching you a lesson. Remember, we will always be watching you. MERRY CHRISTMAS! HO! HO! HO!" The duo walked out and, using their speed, got up on the nearest tree. The beard and wigs were taken off. "Well, that was more fun than expected," said Garret.
"I agree! I can't remember the last time I acted!" giggled Trinidad. The two kissed as they looked at the house. They heard scuffling in the house. "Put on some music, my love. The show is about to start."
Garret got his phone out and put on Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer.
Suddenly, the house doors opened, and that was when the duo heard and saw Edgar scream, but he wasn't alone. They saw Aidoneus in his small werewolf form being dragged out of the house while biting Edgar's butt. Aidoneus still had the fake antlers tied on his head and a fake red nose. Edgar screamed and turned in circles, trying to get Aidoneus away from him.
Garret and Trinidad laughed silently as they watched the funny sight while the music played. The screaming woke many people in the neighborhood, and Aidoneus knew enough was enough. He let go, but not before ripping parts of Edgar's pants, exposing his buttocks. Aidoneus used his superspeed and hid in the tree where Garret and Trinidad hid.
Neighbors got out of their homes. They screamed at a crying and terrified Edgar, who ran inside his house. Aidoneus watched and huffed triumphantly. "Well, that was fun! I think this coward will be leaving your mate alone, Aidoneus," said Trinidad.
"I will admit, I haven't had this fun in years. I think it is best we should go. Here, I have your clothes in the bag," said Garret.
Aidoneus nodded but noticed Trinidad giggling. "You look so cute with the antlers and red nose. "Aidoneus, the red-nosed werewolf! He-!" The werewolf groaned as Trinidad sang.8Please respect copyright.PENANA5diLjnXb3D
