Gala and Cooper finally go to Cooper's grandma place. They're visiting his grandma house to find out about Coraline. Few minutes later they arrives in front of their grandma house. They're getting inside the house while his grandma is greeting them and ask them to sit down on the sofa. Everything inside that house is so vintage. The wall full of the photos of every generation.
"So grandma, could you please tell us about our great grandma friend's story and her photo?" Said Cooper.
"Ah.. That story? Yes of course! Wait I will show you the photo." Said grandma, and she went into her room taking out the photo album.
5 minutes later she came out with some album photos.
"That's a lot grandma.." Said Cooper.
"Yeah it is.." Said grandma.
Grandma start opening the album. The two of them are looking at it. When suddenly Gala saw Coraline's photo on that album and surprised.
"Granny, may I ask who is this girl?" Ask Gala, pointing at Coraline's photo.
"Ah.. That was Cooper's great grandma's friend, her name is Coraline." Said grandma.
"Can you tell me more about her?" Ask Gala.
"Sure. Great grandma ever told me, her friend Coraline is a sweet person. She is a lonely girl, who always came to a lake alone. Great grandma found her when she is walking alone to the lake to fishing for her dinner. They start meeting each other and be friend. But sadly, Coraline didn't live that long. She is died at a young age. If I'm not mistaken she died 4 days right after her 21st birthday." Said grandma.
"W-what?? Do you know why she died?" Ask Gala again.
"What I heard is she is kidnapped by a stranger in the mountain and her body was never found. Great grandma always told me she regret didn't come to her birthday party, because it's the last time they should be seeing each other before the kidnapping happen." Said grandma.
"That's creepy but sad... Rest in peace for her.." Said Cooper.
"Oh today is 19, It's the day of her birthday." Said grandma.
"May I ask, is she invited great grandma for her birthday party in the lake on the small boat?" Ask Gala.
"Yeah, how do you know? I haven't told you yet..." Said grandma, confused.
Gala quickly standing up from his seat, greeting a goodbye to Cooper's grandma and leave. He quickly run back to bus station leaving Cooper in awe.
An hour later Gala finally arrived at his home. He realize last night was the last time he meet with Coraline. That was her birthday. Now he is trying to find out how Coraline died. He want to keep her alive. Now he is trying to go back for the Astral projection. But sadly after 3 attempts it is failed. He cannot reach her anymore.
"Maybe... that's the last time I see you.. I'm sorry I cannot help you.." Said Gala, sitting on his desk, looking so depressed.
Meanwhile in other place.
"So, grandma did you have anything left from them? Like maybe a notebook filled with their daily activity or something? Or a letter maybe?" Ask Cooper.
"Yes I did. Wait. The two of them really love sending a letter to each other." Said grandma, while she is taking out a large box filled with letters, book, and some stuff.
"Thanks grandma, I will borrow this to show it to my friend." Said Cooper.
"Make sure it backs in complete. I don't want any of those stuff missing, even a piece of it." Said grandma.
"Sure, you can count on me!" Said Cooper.
Right after that, Cooper left the house with some old stuff that he brings from her grandma's place and go to Gala's house.
An hour later Cooper finally arrive in Gala's house greeted by his mother.
"Oh Cooper.. Come in!" Said Gala's mom.
"Sure, is Gala here?" Ask Cooper.
"Yeah, he just got home in a rush an hour ago. I thought he goes to your place before?" Ask Gala's mom confused, because Cooper suddenly came.
"Ah yeah, we are going to my grandma's house but sadly he left me there. Now I need to meet him now." Said Cooper, walking to his room.
Cooper opening the door of Gala's room. There he saw Gala is laying on his bed looking on his ceiling.
"Yo bro, here you go, some stuff I brought from my grandma's house, you should check it, maybe you will find something related to her." Said Cooper.
There is no answer from Gala. He only looks at Cooper and sighing so loud.
"Alright buds, take your time, make your own space, I won't be noisy. I will just left.. I will put the stuff on your table, take care." Said Cooper, leaving the room and bid a bye to him and go home.
Gala finally stands up and looking at the stuff in that box. Opening the letter one by one.
Meanwhile in other place.
It's the 4th day after her birthday. Coraline are being asked to find a wood to prepare for the winter day and make a firewood. She went to the mountain, she walks and walks, while singing cheerfully and dancing by herself. Untill she saw a magnetic circle and she tries to walk through it. She thinks nothing is happening, so she continued to pick up the wood and go back to her house, but instead, when she arrived, everything suddenly changes. Her house is gone. She is in shocked and running away back in to the forest. All she can see is a different infrastructure of a house. It looks more modern. While she is shocked, she suddenly remember Gala. She start leaving the forest, trying to go into the city and start gaining more information to search for Gala.
