Hi! My name is SushiPrincess (online of course) and I have lots of characters that I have made up, but this is a new one that I am using in one of my new stories, so I thought that making this might help me while I get to write it for this contest. So, here it is.
Name: Theodore Rankensof
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Occupation: School teacher/lord of the Rankensof name
Setting: Victorian England
Looks/appearance: Tall, around 6'2. Wavy brown hair cut to his ears. Usually slicked back with oil, but becomes ruffled when he becomes stressed or angry. Black eyes. Worry lines creasing his forehead that constantly seem to be prominant. Longish face that is very slim and has a pointed chin. He has a long nose as well, but is slightly lage. His build is lanky and akward, but walks with grace that came from his rich upbringings. His right hand has a long ragged scar reaching from inbetween his pinky and ring finger to three-quarters of his fore-arm.
Personality/attitude: Extremely quick to anger and is arrogent. Is loyal, but only to Leon because he is trust worthy. Smart, but doesn't know much because of his rebelion in school, but Leon helps him. Proud and doesn't accept help easily.
Back story: Theodore was born into a very rich and well-off family for his grandfather's investment in one company that happened to grow into a very well known manufacturer when he lost his job. They used their last bits of money to become rich by investing in that company. It worked and Lewis Rankensof became extremely rich, bought the Rankensof mansion and began his new job in investing in other companies with the rest of his riches. 752Please respect copyright.PENANADXTm5c1QaB
He apparently had a knack for choosing the right people to trust, because the Rankesnsof family started to grow more and more well known and continued to grow richer. Eventually, Lewis died and his son, Lewis II took his place as the lord of the Rankensof mansion and vault. He, being only 20 or so at the time with a new wife became very irrisponsible with the money and started investing in any company he could get his hands on and shop for whatever he wanted.
It was Theodore's grandmother who brought him back to his senses. She was married to Lewis I long enough to pick up some of the skills, so she began to run the investments while Lewis II was the cover.
Eventually, Lewis II and his wife had a son and a daughter that they named, Theodore and Emmalinda respectively. Theodore was older by three years and five years after Emmalinda was born, Terina, Theodore's grandmother, passed away and Lewis II began drinking.
Theodore was eight years old when his father became abusive and started to blame him for Terina's death. It started with verbal abuse, but it soon escalated into punches to the face. A kick in the stomach, and then became full on beatings until one day, Theodore's father brought out a knife when he was only ten years old and gave him a few cuts to the face and chest that healed eventually, but Lewis became extemely angry, so he took Theodore's arm and slit a bone-deep cut accross his right arm that never went away.
After that, Lewis started to avoid his son in shame and his wife avoided Theodore as well in favour of her daughter. The way she saw it was that her son had already been tainted by darkness and she was unable to save him, whereas her daughter was in need from protecting.
This put Theodore in a constnat need of affection from his parents and began to rebel to get their attention. In school he would be so quick to anger that it was difficult to approach him. Unfortunately for him, his mother just decided to hire a home tutor at age twelve that would teach him everything from math to buissness manegment.
The next year Theodore's father died. His mother took it very hard, but seemed to get over it.
This continued, the fighting between Theodore and his tutor, for another four years before his mother fired the tutor and moved to away with thirteen year old Emmalinda. Theodore was left with the mansion and vault besides the portion that his mother took to live off of.
After a couple of years, Theodore became accustomed to being the Rankensof lord, living comfortable off its riches. He was getting regular letters from his mother untill one day they suddenly stopped. He was planning on going to them to see what was going on when he got a letter stating that his mother and Emmalinda caught the flu and died a few months ago.
Theodore became so enraged and sad at this that he nearly lost himself until he found Leon Delacrow, a poor man that was seven years older than Theodore and had it worse than him, so he hired him as a servant out of inspiration.
Leon keeps Theodores sensitive temper in check and is more like a best friend than a servant. Leon is the one who sudgested that Theodore get a job to help distract him and give him something to do. He eventually went into teaching.
Story genre: Drama
I love this character and I also love Leon. They are amazing.
