A/N: Siren is a character I just recently created for my story The Sight. Siren is a complex, beautiful character that I hope you guys will enjoy as much as I have. I you read my other stories compared to The Sight you may notice that my writing is different, and this I must say was not me. Those words are not mine but hers. I feel that her character has changed and lives through the words I write.

Name : Siren
Age : 18
Gender : Female
Looks/Appearance : Siren has pasty white skin and an oval face. She is petite with a small frame and is only about 5'2-5'3 in height. Her hair is a blonde so light it glints silver/white. Her eyes are usually unfocused. They are bright blue webbed like a net. She has a blotchy red scar that laces up around her right eye. Because of her story genre, she is generally seen covered in grime and dirt. She wears anything that she can scrounge up, but feels most comfortable in a pair of well fitting jeans and a tank top. Siren has been blind since birth, which is not unlikely in the world she lives in.
Personality/Attitude : Siren is usually caring. She is loyal to her allies, and friends. She is optimistic and can sometimes be a little too strong-headed. She likes to think that she is fearless, but that is only because she feels that if people believe her to be fearless they might think of her as less of a nuisance. She is intelligent and thinks differently than those with the sight. Because she has never seen colours she spends a lot of her time dreaming. She uses her other senses a lot, she takes time to enjoy things like the scent of roses and the feeling of velvet. Backstory: A disease has raged over the world taking away people's sight. Siren has been blind since she was born. She grew up in between different families. A year here, a year there. She has never really formed a bond with anyone. On her 18 year she goes to the hospital to be a test subject. Those who have the sight have realized that they need to help those who can not see. They have, in result, educated themselves to become doctors and scientist. The scientist are working on a camera type thing that can be inserted in the eye and a chip that is inserted in the base of the cranium, this chip the projects the images into their minds. Siren gets this procedure so that she can help those who suffer from the same disease as her.

My life is one of which I desire not live. It is not that I have no will to live, only that I long to be free of my burdens. I wish not to live a life of a princess. I wish only to live my life in plain daylight. I wish not to harm the lives of those who surround me, I wish only to seek out their faces and see the marvels of the world. The desire that haunts my sleep, that desire, it drives me through the day.
I shall not bend to those who are stronger, nor shall I give up faith in those who are weak. For, truly, we are all weak. We are only little pawn’s playing in a deadly game. The world is a big creature and at one point it will end us, for we, as humans, are not worthy of its beauty.
Seeing its splendor is one thing, but hearing, and smelling and feeling, that is of another. Those who see, do not appreciate the warmth the sun gives us or the smell of roses. They do not seek the hidden beauty, they only see only what is there in front of them.
The innocence and the purity of the world is also cunning and ruthless. The world seeks not to please only to do as it will. It does not comply to those around us, for it is bigger and stronger than all of the population together. It let us be tortured, let us destroy ourselves.
First it restricted our sight.
Now it waits till one day it shall be restored as the stunning creature it once was.
