It all started with a book, but not just any random book off the shelf. It has symbols all over it, scars from pervious owners. Dust from how long its been around, the smell of the sea is still on its cover pages. But that book is dangerous as long as its in someones hands, as long as someone even reads the first page; their dead. That's how important this book is, but where did it come from. Nowhere...

First day of college, that is a big nervous breakdown i'll be waiting for. My light blue hair blew its way in front of my face, my beanie had fallen off of my head a couple of times already. My jacket was going everywhere, not staying in one place. The skin tight jeans I thought would work were ripping at my crouch, and my unlaced shoes are almost falling off of my feet. I stop in front of an empty table, theres a loud noise coming form the gym.
" dammit I'm late " I hear from behind me
I turn around and see a boy just a year older then me, his dark red hair was in a ponytail. His smile good bright a room up with just one glimpse you took at him. He looked at me and gave me a small smile. Which made my heart flutter inside, I shook my head back into reality to hear him ask me something.
" your late as well?" he asked as he placed his bag on the ground. " hi, i'm Maddi" he spoke as he held out his hand to me.
" Oh, i'm diamond.. " I slightly blush and shake his hand politely.
He held his bag again and looked at the dorm rooms, he looked back at me and smiled. I could tell we were in the same room together. I bit my lip softly and looked to the ground, he chuckled at me and gestured me to follow him to our so called "room." He ran into the building across the court yard that said "boys dorm room only" and we walked in to see a huge living space. Some guys were sitting on the couch with beer in their hands, others were playing games at the dining table. We walked up the stairs and found our room, which was pretty big for a two queen sized bedrooms. I dropped my suitcase and bag on my bed and just collapsed onto it, I heard a laugh slip from his lips as he did the same but on his bed of course.
We shared the silence for a while until a boy walked in. He looked like a sophomore in college, he had his hands in his pockets and a cigar in his mouth. His short black hair covered one of his eyes as he walked to the middle of the room. I sat up and stretched my arms, I watched him as he smiled.
" you two must be new here, and late for the orientation" he declared throwing out his cigar
" yeah, we wanted to see our rooms before going " Maddi answered him
" well I'm Gideon, nice to meet you two " he nodded his head and lifted the room.
I rubbed my eyes and looked over at Maddi, he smiled and stood up. He told me he was going to be downstairs and that I should sleep some more. I nodded and rested my head on my new bed, the pillows were soft and comfy. I liked it here already, it was a nice decision to come here. But to make new friends all over again will be a pain in the ass. I closed my eyes once more and drifted off into a deep sleep.
The next thing I knew there was a blaring sound in my ears, I jumped up and away from it. Making out the figure, it was Gideon, he laughed so hard it made my skin jump. I sigh and ruffle my hair, crossing my arms I gave him an eye. He smirked and gestured me to follow him, I did and we went downstairs where Maddi was laughing with one of the guys. A friend, oh wait are they holding hands. I didn't know Maddi was gay, or he probably is bi since he was looking at girls asses all the way to the dorm room. I look back at Gideon, he whispered into my ear and I understood. I ran downstairs and jumped onto Maddi's lap, I was embarrassed to the fullest. But Gideon did't like the other guy so I wanted to help. Maddi just looked at me, his hands were on my waist to help me from slipping. The male next to him blushed and shook his head, leaving right away. I heard Maddi sigh in relief, he looked at me then at Gideon who was standing on the stairs.
" thanks boys " he laughed and helped me back up on my feet. " that guy just admitted he liked me, but I'm not that gay " he pouted and crossed his arms
" and anyway he's in a different dorm, meaning he's not aloud to be in this dorm. plus he smells of fish " Gideon sighed and laughed
" wait, your gay or are you bisexual " I asked and looked up at the red headed male
" well I mean I wanted to tell you that when I felt comfortable around you. But I guess now is okay. I'm gay Diamond, deal with it okay" he slightly gave me a blush and looked away from me
" oh please, kiss already. I can tell you both have some feelings for each other even though you both just met. Damn freshman these days " Gideon groaned and walked out of the building
I looked at Maddi who had licked his lips, I blushed and ran up to our room, hiding under the covers. I was scared and didn't like what was going on. I heard him follow me and laugh, he told me he was going to wait until we got to know each other. Which made me much better, but I stayed under the covers in silence. He sighed and rested on his pillow, just looking at me while I slept. Damn this kid..
