I look down at the ground as I felt Anthony wrap an arm around my neck.
" is he bothering you Dia " he whispered to me as I slowly nod my head. He gave Zach an eye, he smirked and crossed his arms. " get the hell out of here Freshman, stop bothering my friend " he growled and pushed his way out of the classroom
" Diamond.. " Zach questioned kind of taken back by this
" Sorry Zach, i'm over you okay " I mutter following Anthony back to our dorm
I felt as he placed his hand in mine, I wasn't bothered by it, I hope Zach doesn't get the wrong idea. What the hell, I don't think I care anymore. I squeeze his hand and heard him laugh, I could tell he was happy, I guess I was happy as well. Since he helped me out, I never even thought Zach would be here. We got back to the dorm and saw Gideon and Maddi watching football, they looked are way before we could unlock our hands. They laugh and pause the recording.
" what the hell was that " Gideon stood up and just patted my head
" A so called friend of mine goes to this school, we used to date. He's straight though, and we broke up when I moved. But he still thinks were dating, please help " I whine feeling him hug me
" were here for you stupid, let us do the hard work " he whispered to me before letting go and jumping back onto the couch
My cheeks wouldn't stop blushing, even though I still don't remember them they make me feel so welcome. It just makes me heart ache like a motherf*cker. Why? I place a hand over my heart and feel tears fall down my cheeks. Why am I crying, they didn't do anything wrong. Gideon pats my head and walks back to the couch, he gestured me to sit with them. Even though football isn't really my thing, I'll watch it with them anytime. Before I move I glance up at Anthony who's just gritting his teeth in hate for Zach, or was it just my imagination. I tug at his sleeve and we sit down, I lay on the floor, my chin in the palms of my hands.
As I was trying to find a comfortable spot, I heard yelling outside. Did they hear it as well? I glanced up at them, their attention was to the TV. I roll my eyes and stood up, not saying where I was going. I walked to the door and looked out of the window, a girl was running around like she was being chased. Once she got past the window a beast all made of shadow appeared to be chasing her. It glanced over at me, I hid behind the door, the guys were kind of confused.
' should I go ' I think and nod my head
Without crying or muttering to myself I was going to die I ran out of the dorm room. I heard them all jump up and follow me, this is my time to shine.
" dammit kid, don't use too much magic or you'll forget about us again. " Gideon yelled
" heh.. I don't mind " I respond as I flip my glasses onto my face
I run after the girl and bloke her from the so called beast, it stopped in its tracks just looking at me. The girl was crying, was it trying to kill her. These things, didn't they show up like yesterday, meaning the day I fainted. Or was that two days ago? Someone has to be watching us to control them, but who, since they aren't even aloud on the campus here.
" go back to your dorm okay " I mutter to her
" Y-Yeah, b-but don't y-you need help " she asked
" nah, i have a team that beats the crap out of monsters " I snicker and gesture to the three boys in the door way of our dorm
" oh, thank you. May I ask for your name " she questioned
" Just call me Diamond toots, see ya round " I roll my eyes in annoyance
" haha, deal. And I'm Ariel by the way, i'll go tell the head master about this as well. " she giggled and ran off in the other direction.
I watch as she left, then glanced back at the shadow, it wasn't trying to attack me. Was it that they went after the people their asked to "kill." Strange. Gideon was about to kill a bitch, he wanted to help me so badly. Maddi just looked disappointed and Anthony winked at me like I could do it. What a team they are. I smirk and let my blue aura cover my body, that aura is what helps a magician use their power without fainting, I studied guys; thats new. I remove my jacket, letting the whole world see my mark on my hand, so what if my teacher tells me to keep it hidden. It started to glow a white-ish blue color, my hands became ice cold. Wait is this like the power of ice and snow. To stop a shadow in its tracks you need to attack with ice, wait till the sun comes out so it can disappear into ashes. Thanks teach, that helps a lot.
The shadow blows smoke from its nose, without hesitating once I charged; to be honest without those three idiots I wouldn't be able to do this.

Jumping in mid-air kind of punches, ice shards, ice storms, etc. I don't want to waste your time, so i'll explain it later. I concentrated and made my hands glow blue, a sword came from it. Didn't my teacher say we could combine certain magic with each other. Swords and Ice, that sounds awesome. Creating swords as I charged they went flying at the monster, landing on its feet the ice took place of them. Making them into shards, pointy and damn cold. The shadow roared in pain, it tried to move but nothing happened. The sun, where is it? I glanced over my shoulder, the sun was going down instead, but there was some close by. I gritted my teeth in anger, this had to be planed. I'll just kill it first. My lips soon formed a smirk, a sword formed in my hands. This time it was metal, I got attached to this thing already. Hopefully I don't screw things up like last time, Losing my member for a second time can be a bitch.
After fighting a monster that big, I collapsed to the ground. My head hurt and my body aches all over. I heard footsteps run towards me, they were looking down on me like I was some kind of burden to them.
" your an asshole, you know that kid " Anthony scolded me holding out his hand

I looked over at the ashes of the monster, soon they disappeared from view. In the distance I saw Ariel clapping her hands, the head master was watching me this whole time. Or did he help me in some way. Anthony looked towards my gaze, they disappeared into the shadows. He looked back at me and rolled his eyes.
" I think this could be a sign " Gideon muttered crossing his arms
" like what " Maddi mumbled
" there are connections, I realized my friend Zach came here two to three days ago. He could be doing this for someone, he could be controlling them because the beast didn't kill me like they usually do " I explained and they were shocked that I remembered such a thing.
