ZOOTOPIA TANK POLICE
Capítulo 10: Three tanks in the rain
The rain was intensifying and therefore the noise inside the abandoned shed where Buajaja and his band had hidden had become unbearable.
Buajaja decided to turn up the volume on the radio so as to silence the incessant noise of raindrops crashing against the calamine ceiling, then decided to light one of his stinking cigars.
“Hey, don't smoke that shit that's going to give you cancer," said Annapuma.
“I don't think I'm going to die from that, you know," said the pig with a sarcastic smile.
“I don't understand why you insist on smoking it," Unipuma criticized him this time.
“It's a man's business, you girls wouldn't understand. A male can't be a real male unless he smokes at least once in his life a good Havana cigar from ZooCuba.... Come on girls, cheer up, a little taste won't do you any harm.”
The other members of the band left what they were doing and looked at the cats with lustful looks and a few drooling looks.
“Meow, what's wrong with you Buajaja, you always insist that we give these things a try, right Unipuma.”
“Nya, Annapuma you're right. I don't understand you men with your mania for insisting we smoke these things. What's wrong with you or what?”
The cat sisters were about to send the other members of their criminal gang to hell, when they suddenly stopped their slender ears.
“What's that noise?” Annapuma asked no one in particular.
“Damn it, Buajaja, turn it down a little bit the volume” asked Unipuma in anger.
The pig did so, but could hear nothing because of the noise of the rain.
One of the members of the gang came to the wall and stood on his toes so that he could look out of the long window that ran along the entire wall of the shed.
“I don't hear or see...” was trying to say the ram, when a strong detonation blew out all the windows of the place.
A pile of shards of glass went to crash and cut the son of a bitch's face, but the worst came less than a second later.
The wall exploded and the heat of the explosion, together with the blast wave, had dismembered the criminal and sent pieces of his brains in all directions.
Buajaja and his men stood stiff as statues, except for the tall cat sisters, who, showing off their feline instincts and reflexes, had already pulled out their weapons and were standing on the outer edge of the wall cavity.
It was this quick reaction that saved the lives of the two cats as just at that moment and from the back, a green metallic mass with the logo of the tanker police, was crossing the wall and sliding, crushing a ferret against a wall that did not enjoy the quick reflexes of its companions.
It looks like the image of a tooth bar being squeezed with excessive force by the lower side, since in this same way the criminal vomited on the side of the tank all his blood that was previously in his body.
The criminals shot at the tank, but they didn't do the slightest damage. This fact, however, was not observed because at lightning speed, the small tank fired its riot control gas grenades and then turned ninety degrees.
“Let's get out of here!” one of the cat sisters shouted at the other and disappeared through the hole caused by the explosion.
The large, heavy machine gun, the Vulcan, spun at a devilish speed on its axis, then vomiting its deadly charge.
The gang members saw their bodies filled with lead shrapnel and were already dead, sewn into bullets long before their inert bodies fell to the ground.
“You won't come to me with that shit!” Shouted Buajaja as he pointed his flamethrower at the tank.
A circle of fire surrounded the pig because of its attempts to destroy the tank, which flaunted maneuverability while surrounding the criminal.
“As the song says: Moralito doesn't take me unless I want to" the pig snorted in the heat of the battle.
Taking advantage of the fact that the tank operators were distracted, the cat sisters entered their respective tanks and started the engines.
"That bird was right," Unipumma thought. "This thing was remodeled to be operated by a single crewman."
“Hey sister, what the hell is that thing? It's too small for a tank," Annapuma assessed from the other tank.
“Who cares, let's crush It.”
The two tanks advanced towards the Bonaparte, and in that a strong explosion resounded in the tracks of both tanks that were very close to each other.
“Sweet cheese biscuits, those cats are crazy as hell! They just crushed their leader!” Shouted Judy.
“We must get out of this closed space!” Key shouted, and as the pilot, he put the tank out with a good reverse drive.
The rain had subsided and the whole land was slippery and muddy.
“We are two against one sister," said Annapuma. “We have to go around it because that toy tank is so fast.”
“It's easy to say," complained Unipuma, "my tank can't maneuver as fast as that little one. Besides, the mud makes everything difficult.”
The powerful crawler tracks of the two ran tanks were slow in performance due to the terrain, a terrain that was no problem for the Bonaparte tank, thanks to its four outgoing shell-mounted crawler tracks.
This time none of the cat sisters crossed words as they knew perfectly well what their twin was thinking.
"We gotta outflank the fucking midget."
The engines of the ran tanks roared and then the game of cat and mouse began, however, during the fight of the steel gladiators, the mouse and the cat could not be glimpsed clearly.
The long barrels of the ran tanks vomited death on Bonaparte, but the high speed and maneuverability of Judy's tank prevented It from being an easy target again and again.
Bonaparte, for his part, was shooting faster, but It didn't make a dent because of the coordination and there's no other way to say it: crazy luck for the two cats.
Due to the low storage volume, Bonaparte ran out of ammunition, while Annapuma and Unipuma still had several shots each, and worse still, had managed to outflank their small opponent as the police tank had one ran tank just ahead and the other was just behind It.
“Key, I was taught at the academy that whoever has the most ammo in the end always wins.”
“Then we must think of something that we were not taught and quickly.”
"We got it," the cats thought. "You're our snack now."
The cats pointed their guns at the little tank.
“Jump!” That was all Judy shouted, and the black cat understood perfectly.
The four caterpillars had not been designed for this, but the moment of truth had arrived. Each of the tracks retracted to the center of the tank's mass, causing the small tank to jump.
The two ran tanks fired at the same time just a few thousandths of a second before Key performed this strange operation, so both shells passed just below the tank and millimeters from hitting the tank or its brother who was crossing to hit the ran tank in front.
Both tanks were hit by the projectile launched by their twin in design and the tracks were rendered useless as well as the engines, which emitted a column of smoke that hid both tanks.
“All battalions advance immediately!” Gadget and the entire Little Rodentia police force immediately went to arrest the two cats, who were probably unconscious or perhaps dead inside the tanks.
It seemed imprudent that such tiny officers faced the two tall cats, yet all the uniformed mice wore paralyzing darts, tear gas and electric weapons, enough to neutralize any threat.
“Key, that was a good maneuver," said Judy as she wiped the sweat from her forehead and tried to breathe calmly.
“You're the one who deserves all the credit. How did you know when to make Bonaparte jump?”
“These two twin cats were 100% coordinated, I knew they would shoot at the same time.”
The rabbit and the cat came out of the small tank and already the Vice Mayor, Calico Briggs, was rushing to meet them.
“Good thing you're safe, I was so worried!”
“You didn't need to worry, Deputy Mayor.” She was reassured by Judy.
“I couldn't help it, and there's no need for that Deputy Mayor thing, you can call me Callie, you both can.”
The three exchanged glances and smiles of relief as old chief Rosano approached them.
“Officer Hoops, Subcommander Keyhearth. I'm glad you're safe and sound and successful in your mission.”
Both Judy and Key lowered their respective ears.
“You mustn't think about it," the old bobtail dog read the young guys' faces, “We all knew that Buajaja's gang was not the kind of gang one can arrest, there was no other option but to use lethal violence. Remember that your actions saved the lives of hundreds of innocent lives in the Old Town and Little Rodentia.”
“Thank you, sir," Key thanked him in a sad tone.
“Anyway," continued Rosano, "I have just been informed that both tanks were empty. Yeah, something tells me we'll see the cat sisters again in the future.”
Callie's phone rang and the young cat took a couple of steps back to answer the call.
Judy, Key, and old boss Jose Rosano, saw that something was wrong when they saw how Callie reacted to her cell phone call.
“No.... it could'nt be," said Callie, as she dropped her cell phone and it fell to the ground.
“Callie... What's going on?” Boss Rosano asked worried.
“Sir, the mayor. I've just been informed that the mayor has just been taken hostage. She and the other VIPs who were on the gala closing tour of the old Zootopia train.”
The surprise was such that the old dog's eyebrows rose and exposed his small eyes.
