"Oh, dear," the raven murmured to himself as he looked around the crowd-thinning hallway. "Where could he be?"
Burgundy eyes scanned each direction as Ace walked down the corridors, ignoring curious glances thrown his way. He was concerned with other matters. The pinkette was no where to be seen and it was nearing the lunch period.
Sighing quietly, the PDA adjusted the bundle in his arms before finally coming across the cafeteria doors. Hearing chatter coming from the other side, he reached to open the door but the dropped his arm back to his side as he heard someone else approach him from behind.
"You were the one in the hall with Harukana, right?"
Ace turned to see dark grey eyes staring at him, a smile gracing his own face. "Ah, you were the one that I noticed in the hallway earlier. You were also watching me when I walked into the gym." The purplette tensed. "Why is-"
"Ace!"
Said person looked past the one before him prior to running around him and up to a flustered pinkette. The smile on the raven's grew as he watched the hazel-eyed teen stare back up at him with a scowl.
"What's the matter, Robert?" the PDA asked, leaning down a bit. "Is something ailing you?" He leaned in a bit closer. "I wish to help if there is," he added hardly over a whisper.
"I-uh…"
The corner of the raven's mouth pulled into a smirk as the pinkette's face became dusted pink. Kaito watched as the hazel-eyed schoolmate's face became darker and darker so he cleared his throat.
"Anyway," Ace said as he stood straight to present the bundle in his hands, "shall we go to the courtyard?"
"Harukana…" Said person leaned to the left to see a purplette staring back, his arms folded across his chest. "We-"
"C'mon," the PDA said, pulling the pink-haired teen away and out the door.
The purple-haired teen watched as the door slammed shut in their wake before walking over to peer out the window. From there, he watched as the odd raven walked with, if not dragged, the flailing Robert across the schoolyard. He then watched at the pinkette was sat down beneath the tree they had eaten lunch countless times in the past.
Pushing the door opened, Kaito slipped outside and walked over to a bench across the yard. He continued to watch as his classmate blushed furiously, his face rivaling the color of his hair. His own grey eyes narrowed as dark red ones stared back from across the yard, a small smile crossing the owner's face before turning away to focus on Rob.
"Well, aren't ya' gonna' eat?" Ace asked, seated comfortably beside the anxious teen. "I didn't make it just for you to gawk…" He tapped his bottom lip. "I could feed it to you if you want. Though I will say, I do think it's cute how you're staring like-"
"Stop saying things like that!" Robert shouted, gaining the pair a few curious stares from others beside the purplette.
"But-"
"Just stop it, Ace!"
The PDA dropped his gaze to the grass as he placed his hands in his lap. He glanced at the pinkette from the corner of his eye before looking away quickly. From what the teen saw, the dark eyes appeared to tremble the same way as the night before; a small reminder that yesterday was definitely not a dream.
"You better not cry," Robert murmured as he picked up the bundle the other had set aside.
"I-I'm not going to cry…" Ace said quietly, hunching his shoulders. "I don't do crying…"
The pinkette raised an eyebrow as he watched the other pout much like his younger brother. A taller, older, more handsome version of…He blinked. No way would he compare the PDA to Skylar, the imp he called a younger sibling.
"Are you going to keep staring at me?" the raven asked quietly, his eyes drifting over to stare at the one beside him.
"No, I-"
"I don't mind it," Ace said, sitting upright to look at the pinkette completely. "I like it."
"You like it?" Robbie asked more confused than he was when they were in the hall.
The PDA smiled as he leaned in. " I do," he replied. "I do a lot so-" He drew closer, watching the blush creep along the other's face, making his smile grow. "-I don't think you should look at anyone else the same way. Look only at me."
Robert inhaled sharply as he stared back at the smiling face in front of him. He already knew his face had to be a dark pink, perhaps already passing the shade of his hair but he didn't, if not couldn't, will himself to move away as the PDA inched closer.
"Harukana."
Ace pulled away and turned to see Kaito staring back. The pair stared in deadlock until the raven took the time to blink, a welcoming smile on his face as Kaito placed his hands in his pockets.
"Hello again," the red-streaked raven greeted.
"Yeah, hi," Kai said, turning his attention the Robert. "Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Um, s-sure," Robbie said, setting the bundle down and kneeling to get up.
As he went to stand, the PDA took his hand and pulled him back down into a seating position as he looked up at the purplette staring somewhat irritably at him.
"Whatever you want to say, feel free to say it here," Ace said. "We were in the middle of lunch, you know?"
"Ace, was it?" Kaito began. "Yeah, it's kind of private so if you would be so kind as to give us a minute."
"No-"
"Ace, let go," Robert said. The raven looked back over at him quickly, furrowing his brow in the process. "I said to let go."
The PDA complied and placed his hands in his lap as he watched the pinkette stand and walk away with the purple-haired teen. He frowned as he looked at the food cast aside and then looked over at the schoolbag that was left behind. With nothing else to do, he picked it up and rummaged through it before coming across some History work that needed to be done. Searching the bag, he then pulled out a pencil and began to work though he couldn't help but to overhear what the purplette was saying.
"First, I want to say thanks for telling me where my book was," Kaito murmured as if it was the most embarrassing thing in the world.
"Um…you're welcome," the pinkette replied, throwing his attention over to the raven, writing diligently in a green notebook.
"Second, who is that guy?" Robert eyes snapped back to the purplette in front of him. "He isn't a student here."
"Well, yeah, I know."
"So why is he here?" Kaito asked frigidly.
"H-he has a visitor pass," Robbie replied, shuddering slightly at the tone spoken by his classmate, "a-and he was just returning my cell." His eyes drifted towards the raven. "And apparently to bring me lunch," he added as an afterthought.
The red-streaked raven tapped the pencil against his bottom lip before meeting the pinkette's gaze, Robbie blushing until Kaito cleared his throat again.
"How did he even get your phone?" he asked, his own gaze meeting the PDA's. "And lunch, really?"
"Um-"
"Robert!" Ace called, gathering the other's things as the bell had began to ring. "You didn't eat lunch!"
He frowned, furrowing his brow as he watched the pinkette turn back towards the purplette. Throwing the bag over his shoulder, he walked over, passing others headed inside until he reached the one who turned his back to him. Seeing the look in Kaito's eye, Ace smiled before snaking his arms around the hazel-eyed teen's waist, reveling in the shudder it got him.
"You have to eat when we get back," the PDA said, resting his chin in the crook of Robbie's neck, "or you might feel cranky or sick later."
"A-Ace." The pinkette dropped his gaze down to the arms wrapped around him. "You…um…"
"You're gonna' be late," the raven murmured as he nuzzled the teen. "C'mon. Let's go already."
Dark grey eyes narrowed slightly as dark red ones drifted in his direction, a smirk ticking in the corner of the PDA's mouth as both stared deadlock again.
"Harukana," Kaito replied, looking back at the pinkette. "I-"
"His name is Robert," Ace corrected.
"What?"
"His name is Robert," Ace repeated, tightening his hold until he felt the hazel-eyed teen squirm. "Why do you call him by his last name?"
"Well-"
"It's Robert not Harukana," the raven said protectively as he nuzzled said person again, calming him slightly. "Now-" He turned the pinkette around, smiling all the while once hazel eyes were focused on him. "-shall we get to class? I would love to see what you do here."
"Um." The PDA tilted his head to the side, blinking once then twice in a manner Robbie found a bit comical. "If you…promise to behave then sure…"
The raven nodded as he adjusted the bag on his shoulder. "Lead the way."
"Alright," the pinkette said, adjusting his glasses as he walked ahead.
"Um, Robbie."
The pink-haired teen looked over at the purplette.
"C'mon," the raven said, tugging away at Rob's gakuran sleeve. "Bell remember?"
"I'll, uh, see you in Chemistry," Robert said as the PDA pulled him back towards the building.
"Chemistry…right," the violet-haired teen murmured, watching as Robbie went in first.
As Ace reached the door, he turned, glancing at Kaito. The purplette slid his hands into his pockets, feeling his eyes narrow once more as the PDA threw him a knowing smile. He looked ready to say something though the sound of Robbie's voice drew him into the building, the door closing with a somewhat loud click.
