After Alex finished getting dressed they left to go to the pet shelter. The entire ten minute drive there Alex talked to Jonah about how the pet shelter they were going to was the best in the city. By the time they got there Jonah was practically jumping up and down in his seat like a little kid going to Disney Land for the first time.
When they got out of the car Jonah had almost ran inside the building before Alex stopped him saying, "Hey man I know that your filled with joy and super excited about this but turn it down a couple notes." "Oh yeah, sorry." Jonah responded shyly smiling hiding his face as they walked in.
A super happy and optimistic red-headed girl, no more than at least eight-teen or nine-teen, saw Alex and Jonah walk in and greet them saying, "Hello! Welcome to our fantastic puppy shelter!" Jonah gave Alex a look of "Why can't I be super excited and happy? She is!" Alex only responded with a sly smile before turning to the receptionist and saying, "Hey Phoenix. This is my oldest friend Jonah." Jonah shyly waved to Phoenix.
She shot Jonah a quick smile before saying "Oh I didn't realize it was you Alex. I didn't know you were working today." "Oh I'm not Jonah here recently moved in with me so I figured we would come here to adopt a dog." Alex replied calmly. Jonah leaned to the side to see behind Phoenix and saw a medium sized black and grey german shepherd and immediately started tugging on Alex's arm while point at the dog as he said, "I found the one."
