I stared numbly at the fireplace in Damon’s living room as the flames broke through the log and sparked into the air, vanishing seconds later.
There were three other people on the other couches—all lounging casually as if they owned the place.
No, I didn’t know them.
“Winter,” Damon said then.
I gazed up in annoyance. “What?”
He just smirked, pouring some cola into a glass on the coffee table. “Let me introduce all of you.”
He stood fully, setting the can on the table. “Winter, these are my three omegas. The first one is Carmen,” he gestured to a girl on the right who wore jeans and a T-shirt, and she waved at me, “second is Warren,” he pointed to a guy who was half asleep, setting his head back on the pillow of the couch, “and the last is Cathrine.” He gestured to another girl who was chewing some bubblegum and typing on her phone.
“Everyone, this is Winter,” he said then.
Warren suddenly shot up, making me jump. Cathrine and Carmen both looked up from their devices.
“Hold up…” Warren said then, “the Winter?”
Damon rolled his eyes. “Yes, the Winter. How many Winter’s do I know, Jesus.”
“Hi!” Carmen said then, making me blink at their sudden enthusiasm. “I’m Carmen. Cathrine, there is my fraternal twin! And Warren is our older brother.”
They all waved to me.
“So, you’re Winter?” Cathrine said. “Damon talks so much about you.”
“Oh… I said then, laughing nervously. “He does…?”
“Yes! All good things, too.” Carmen smiled. “I’m so glad I finally got to meet you.”
I watched them before looking back at Damon, confused.
He just smirked at me. Now you have four people keeping tabs on you. Good luck escaping now.
I blinked and looked back down at my cola, and I picked it up, taking a swig.
