“And that’s it for today,” my art teacher said as the room filled with chatter and backpacks zipping, “make sure to have your drawings done by next class because we’re moving on!”
She then looked over at me, smiling. “Oh, and Winter! You need to go straight down to the office. Alpha Damon wants to speak with you.”
I blinked, gazing up at her.
Great. What did I do this time?
I pushed my sketchbook into my backpack and zipped it up, depositing my drawing pencils in the right pocket seconds later.
I then stood and made my way over to the door, immediately stopping when I found Alpha Damon standing there, lashes lowered.
I tipped my head to the side. “What?”
He just lowered his lashes. “I need to talk to you.”
“The teacher you clearly mind controlled already stated that,” I said then, shaking my head as I pushed forward to leave the room. “You could’ve just waited until I made my way to the office.”
He blocked my exit immediately, and I stopped, gazing up at him.
“Winter,” he warned.
I just sighed, gazing up. “What did I do this time?”
He smiled then, lashes lowering as his green eyes glowed dangerously. “I’m supposed to walk you to class. And you decided to go by yourself to this one?”
I just crossed my arms over my chest. “That’s what you’re so mad about?”
His eyes flashed a bright green. “Don’t disobey your alpha or you might not find things very fun.”
I just attempted to move past him, but his entire form filled the doorway.
He smiled lazily down at me.
I just gazed up. “Do you mind?”
“As a matter of fact, I do.”
I just sighed and settled back on my feet.
Damon gazed up to the teacher who was putting her belongings away, not paying any attention to us.
Another mind control tactic.
Werewolves did this all the time, so humans remained oblivious to them. It was irritating.
His eyes glowed slightly, signifying that he was using his mind magic. “Go to your office and remain there until we leave.”
My art teacher just stood fully and walked over to her office, closing the door behind her seconds later.
Damon then gazed down at me. “So? Where were we?”
“You were complaining about childish things,” I stated.
He just leaned down, making me suck in a breath when his face remained inches from mine. “My, my… are you… talking back to me?”
I just blinked. “Maybe.”
He tipped his head to the side, lashes lowering. “I came here for other reasons, too,” he stated. “My friends and I scheduled an event at midnight. We’re going to play some games and have fun… doesn’t that sound so, very lovely?”
I stared for a moment. “What kinds of games?”
He ran his thumb along my nose. “Extreme ones.”
“Are they legal?” I said then.
He just gazed down at me. “No.”
I watched him curiously then.
He just smirked. “So… what do you say? You want to join the Sinner’s Hour?”
I stared for a moment.
But then a wide, sadistic smile spread across my face.
