At the breakfast table, my parents tell me about the celebration that the alpha is throwing for his son Mike. I am happy that he found his mate. He has always been good to me. I am actually excited about the celebration because I have a chance to meet my mate if they are from other packs. I would love to meet my mate. The celebration is this weekend. I try to keep my excitement under control. If too many people see that I am excited Roy will come along just to ruin it.
I make my way outside to wait for Rain to pick me up for school. We always go to school together. Hopefully, both Rain and I can find our mates this weekend. That would be awesome. What would be even more awesome if they are a part of the same pack? I sit on the top step and just wait.
Rain pulls up a short time later. I hop off the steps and head to her car. I climb into the passenger seat.
"Hey Rain," I say.
"Hey Pen," she says.
She takes off toward the school. I turn up the music at start singing along. Rain laughs before joining me. We sing all the way to the school.
When we arrive at the school people are staring at us. I just laugh at their expressions. Rain turns off the car and we get out of the car. We walk up to the school ignoring all the glares coming our way.
My happiness is cut short when I see Roy start walking our way. Rain immediately tenses up. I just open up my locker to get my books out for my first class.
"Look who it is guys. It's the little omega with his protector," Roy taunts.
"Awe look it's the little wolf pup who hasn't grown up yet," Rain taunts back.
Suck on that Roy. My wolf whimpers in my head. I pull on my Rains sweater. She glances down at me and nods. She takes me to the classroom and away from Roy.
