Doctor Ryan comes in to do a final check up on Pen. He tells us what we need to do. Mainly he is to rest and heal. I’m not leaving his side. He can go outside for fresh air but cannot over due it. He is to take his medicine every six hours so he doesn’t get an infection.
Once Dr. Ryan gives Pens parents the discharge papers we are free to leave. I keep Pen in my arms and follow his parents out of the hospital and down the road. All the while Pen lays sleeping peacefully in my arms.
His mom shows me to his room and I set him in his bed. It’s not long before I hear voice in the living room. A girls light voice and the voice of my beta. What’s he doing here? I kiss the top of my mate head before heading to the living room where everyone is at.
Sitting on the sofa is Troy with a girl a little bigger than Pen in his lap.
“Hey, alpha,” he says.
“Troy what are you doing?” I ask.
“Sitting here holding my mate. Rain here is best friends with Pen. I assume Pen is your mate?” He says.
“That is correct. Has anyone heard anything from the alphas about who did this to him?”
”Alpha Mike is still down there. His dad joined him after taking you to the hospital,” Troy says.
If I didn’t have to be here with my mate I would be down there teaching them a lesson myself. I hope they get the punishment they deserve.
