Pen
It has been two days since I’ve gotten out of the hospital. Right now I am watching as my parents and mate pack up my things into boxes. Blaze has to get back to his pack so we are leaving tomorrow morning. I promised to keep in contact with my parents. I also promised Dr. Ryan that I would see the pack doctor in my mates pack.
I feel so useless just sitting here watching as they pack up. Troy is at Rains helping her pack. Blaze had to send for a couple more vehicles so everything could fit.
Suddenly a set of arms wrap around me. The tingles let’s me know that it’s Blaze. I nuzzle his chest.
“Are you alright?” He asks.
“I just feel bad that you guys are doing everything for me,” I say.
“Pen we don’t mind doing it. I won’t risk you delaying your healing process. Once you’re healed you can do whatever you want.”
“Okay.”
Blaze kisses my forehead before going back to packing my clothes.

I finish up packing Pens clothes. That was the last box. His parents have long since went downstairs. Speaking of my little mate he is sleeping curled up in my hoody. I can’t help but smile at the sight. He is adorable. I climb into bed and wrap myself around him.
Pen snuggles in close and sighs in content. I close my eyes for a little while just enjoying having my mate in my arms.
A few hours later….
We are all sitting at the kitchen table when there is a knock on the door. Pens dad goes to see who it is. I stay alert.
Pens dad comes back with Alpha Cole and his son Mike. They don’t look very happy. I stand up.
“What happened?” I ask.
”Roy escaped last night. We sent trackers out as soon as we were notified,” Mike says.
I growl, “ You said you were handling it. He wasn’t punished for harming my mate. He almost killed him.”
”He was being sent to the prison under Kings guard,” Mike says.
I mind link Tony and Max. We are leaving. I can protect my mate better in my pack.
“We have to get back to my pack. Where I can protect Pen better,” I say.
“We are so sorry.”
I pick my mate up and head out to the SUV. Time to take my mate home. My mate is shaking in fear.
“I won’t let anything happen to you.” I tell him.
