"What's up, mom?" I ask.
"Your friend Rain is here," she says.
I perk up and follow my mother downstairs to the living room where my best friend is sitting on the sofa. I run over and throw myself into her arms. She laughs as she catches me.
"Hey there Pen. Do you want to go for a run with me?" she asks.
"Yes. Moon is wanting out," I say.
"You two be careful out there," Mom says.
Rain pulls me out the door. I watch as she shifts into her gray wolf. I shift into my brown wolf. I let Moon take over as we follow Rain into the woods. I love going on runs in the woods. That is when I don't run into my bullies from school. That's why I always go with Rain or one of my parents. That way I don't end up getting hurt.
